We have koalas in our trees. Local attractions include the lal Lal Falls and the Moorabool Falls, picnic/playground and walking tracks and the Lal Lal Reservoir and historic 19th century Blast Furnace, also a visit to The Little Shepherd’s Daughter’s Grave in the Lal Lal State forest is an unique and moving experience. Please take flowers from the garden and water for the grave vase- with you. Access is available to full cottage via owner greeting or key code safe. We would be available to help with guests stay if needed. We are in the country but only 15 mins. from a major, regional town of Ballarat. Close by is the unique and historic LAL LAL BLAST FURNACE which dates back to the 1890's. Within this area is the LAL LAL STAE FOREST with many easily accessible walking/bike tracks. Guests can visit the LAL LAL RESERVOIR and Interpretative trail - this area has picnic/toilets and BBQ facilities. We are close to all Ballarat attractions including the world renowned theme park of Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Reptile Park, Botanic gardens and the delightful regional towns of Buninyong and Daylesford. Our B and B is a 5 minute walk to our local country hotel which has meals on the weekend. In the separate family room there is a queen, fold out sofa bed if more than 2 guests wish to stay. Guests would need a car to get around easily. Our Cottage is 15 minutes from the large, regional town of Ballarat, Vic, Australia, Ballarat has many fine restaurants, theatres and events of all sorts and the world class tourist attraction of Sovereign Hill historic gold mining township. We are 10 minutes from the village of Buninyong with cafes and restaurants. There are many lovely wineries in our area with delicious food. Our cottage is 75 minutes by car or train to the capital city of Melbourne.
