Overlooking hills to one side and lush green tea plantations on the other, the location could not get better than this. Experience a cool climate here through out the year and my place is suitable for all type of travellers with the breathtaking views of rolling coffee / tea gardens and gushing water streams. You can stroll deep into acres of coffee/ spice plantations; watch tea cropping and coffee bean being picked. You can have plantation tours to understand the cultivation of spices like pepper, cardamom, ginger and tropical fruits. Bedroom, attached toilet/shower, balcony, courtyard and the common living area. We highly recommend a walk through the village nearby so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds around. Love to interact with each guest personally depending on their comfort levels. Me and my family living in the same home and happy to help you through out your stay. Wayanad is known as a virgin paradise where the cotton clouds fondle the green, lush mountains spreading chill around its romantic sceneries. Pleasant, fabulous, marvelous and the rest may count as merely belittling words to profess the authentic splendor of Wayanad. Its lusting streams and valleys through the dense forests simply add spice to the atmosphere. Wayanad comprises of places such as Kalpetta, SulthanBathery, Vythiri, Mananthavady and Ambalavayal. All these places have the capacity to spellbind your trips with a great deal of history, exploration, wildlife and relaxing stays. Kalpetta is home to the tallest peak, in the Wayanad district, Chembra Peak at 2100 meters above sea level. The trek up Chembra Peak frequented by many . The peaks like Vaduvanchal, Neelimala and many more offer multiple options for the trekking enthusiasts which make Wayanad an adventurous land for daring tourists of all levels. And the rapid waterfalls like the Meenmutty and Sentinal rock waterfalls greet the visitors with its greenish radiance through the dense forests. The evolution of various religions and kingdoms silently breathes within the confines of the Wayanad jungles. The Jain temples, Varambeta mosque, the Pazhassi tomb, the Edakkal caves etc. are some of the historical turning points which can be witnessed in Wayanad. The traditions and culture of the tribals can also be witnessed in their distinctive life style. Imagine yourself warming up with a hot cup of brew, looking out at the rains and accompanying mists!! Alternatively the summer months of March-May are better suited for outdoor activities and wildlife safaris. Animal sightings tend to be better in summer owing to many animals migrating to the forests of Wayanad from other reserves, in search of better water resources and prey. Fauna and Flora Wayanad’s forests are rich in plant and animal diversity, and play a crucial role in the conservation of several rare species some of which include but not limited to the Lion tailed Macaque, the Royal Bengal Tiger and Elephants. People Even though Wayanad is the least populated district in Kerala, it has the highest tribal population. Some of the tribes still speak their own languages. The tribes are experts at extracting valuable forest resources, and their weapons, art forms and handicrafts are major attractions for tourists. Their ethnic food recipes, like dishes made from forest leaves, bamboo and paddy crabs, are some of the specialties here. There are many places in Wayanad that can provide you a break from the maddening crowds and make you feel an oneness with the infiniteness of nature – its woods and animals. A ride in Wayanad will always help you encounter at least a wild elephant or deers, if not an Indian Gaur (Bison) or a tiger!! Always carry a valid identity proof with you.
