Wonderful lake view, big apartment

A big sunny apartment with a wonderful lake view and a private little garden. Perfect for 4/5 people. We are in a green and very quiet area, few minutes driving to downtown. Ideally situated for day trips (islands, beaches, trekking...) The apartment is at the 2nd floor of a private house with lake view, in a calm residential area. There is a lounge room with a lake view balcony, a big kitchen, a bathroom, a main bedroom with king size bed and a second one with 2 single beds. A baby bed and a high chair are at families disposal. The sofa can be turned into a queen size bed for 1 o 2 more people. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving (microwave and american coffee machine too!). A private parking for your car is just in front of the house. You can also enjoy the quiet little garden in the back, with table & chairs, beach chairs and a BBQ! The landlord lives at the 1st floor, for any need. Our cell number is active for any question, information or suggestion. We speak English! The house is in a very quiet and green neighborhood, also suitable for walks or mountain bike tours. In 10 minutes walking distance up on the hill you can reach a butcher shop/deli, a pharmacy and the post office. As the public transport is not well organized in the area, we highly recommend having your own car. In 5 minutes driving you can reach the town centre, where you will find many shops, bars and restaurants. Every Saturday a big marketplace from 8.30am to 4pm, with clothes, shoes, food and many more. Other places of interest: the famous botanical garden Villa Taranto, the Borromeo’s Islands and the picturesque Stresa village. Driving along the lakeside road, you meet several nice beaches. A very famous one is Cannero Riviera (Blue Flag 2021), which is recommended to families with children, also for promenades. Cannobio is also a well-known site, famous for its beach and for the marketplace (Sunday morning). You can also visit Switzerland (the border is only 30 minutes far). Locarno is very famous for its International Film Festival and Ascona offers a big Jazz Music Festival. If you prefer the mountain side, in a couple of hours you will enjoy the wonderful surrounding valleys with their breathtaking landscapes, gorgeous hiking paths in summertime or exciting skiing slopes during wintertime. Don’t miss: the Val Grande National Park (the biggest wild area in Europe) and the Vigezzo Valley Centovalli panoramic railway. Milan is at 1 hour driving distance only. As the apartment entrance is up on the stairs, the access could be quite difficult for persons with reduced mobility. We are sorry for that!
