Private room with use of the entire top floor including kitchen,living room and bathroom. The "Stonehouse" was once the hideout for Bonnie Prince Charlie. Traditional converted barn living space for the guests. With this listing, guest will have a private room with double bed. They will also have full use of the first floor of the of the farm house and the tranquil garden. There is plenty of on site parking. As our business is all onsite, we're generally in and around the property all day, so we can be as big or small a part of your stay as you'd like. A 20 minutes drive from the start of the Hadrian's wall walk and the c2c cycle route. 30 minutes drive from the Lake District. 30 second's down the road there's the Royal Oak. They do a good fish and chips on a friday night. A leisurely 20 minute walk to Monkihill is the Drovers Rest. They have a pretty nice burger and pub food menu and an awesome real ale selection....voted top four in the CAMRA awards for the uk. There is very limited public transport through the village. 2 buses a day, morning and afternoon. A taxi into Carlisle is between £10-£15. You'll more than likely have no mobile or 3G signal in or around the property so get your direction's right before hand and make sure you call the land line if you get lost as we can't answer our mobile or messages unless we're within wifi range. We do have four very friendly pet's, two cat's, Milk & Egg and 1 dog buzz They do like to visit guests if they bother you , you can ask them to leave.
