She lives on the island Train station is close by- catch a train to Hawkesbury stover and catch water taxi or ferry to get to the island. Or park your car for free st Brooklyn or Parsley Bay. Close to beaches, national parks and lots of fishing in the area. No cars on the island but there is a buggy that is run by volunteers if you need help getting around. Watermark is an easy walk from the ferry- it’s on the low side of the island do no hills to walk up- unless you choose to walk to the western side! WATERMARK is a charming and unpretentious weekender located on Dangar Island, facing north east overlooking the Brisbane Waters escarpment on the Hawkesbury River. The waterfront property is set on 900 square metres, so plenty of space for children and pets to play, including the beach and lawn at the front of the property. The cottage is open plan on the ground floor, with large windows which provide light and panoramic views. The wrap around deck provides space to entertain. There is one bathroom on the ground floor, a modern kitchen and an open plan lounge and dining area. Mornings can be spent lazing on the deck in the warm air listening to the water gently lapping on the sea wall. Watermark is an air conditioned 2 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 6 ( has 5 beds and single mattress additional for up to 6 if required) - with a spacious open plan living space, slow combustion fire, & modern kitchen. It has panaromic water views and all the home comforts. The upstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and a single bed and an additional single mattress in the very light filled and spacious room. The downstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and water views to the east - great to watch the sun rise. The wrap around deck is great for entertaining as well as watching the tide come and go, the water birds feed and local boating and fishing. Watermark has its own private jetty and pontoon which is great for fishing. Also has a commercial deep water mooring in the channel in front of the property. Filled with easy living furniture and ocean décor, Watermark engraves a sense of being completely enveloped by the water & the 'weekender' ambience. A number of perfectly placed windows allow you to observe the river and breath-taking backdrop of the distant cliffs, as if it were an artwork hanging on the wall. Take the opportunity to enjoy a stress free, peaceful weekend. Experience the tranquility of the island, take a walk or explore the shoreline, enjoy a coffee or a meal at the local cafe or a drink and dinner/lunch at the licensed bowling club. There's also high speed wi-fi on site so you can still be connected, if you choose to. The bowling club is located a short stroll of 50 metres away. Great food, great atmosphere and it's licensed too. Bradleys beach is a short walk to the south of the island. BBQ the fish you have just caught off the private jetty/pontoon (fishing lines provided). If you so choose you can engage in something more physical by having a paddle on one of the three kayaks provided, explore the rock formations and boathouses and the shoreline, or walk around the island and view the spectacular scenery, island life and Aboriginal carvings. All without being bothered by cars or city noise, with just the sounds of birds to accompany you. There are no cars on the island. Most visitors access the island on the Dangar Island ferry, which departs Brooklyn from from 6.30am to 8.05pm weekdays ( 15 trips) and departs Dangar Island from 6.10am to 7.30pm ( 15 trips) weekdays and similar frequency on weekends and public holidays - 13 trips to and 13 trips from the island, last trip to the island being 7pm. Or there is a private water taxi (which can deliver you directly to our private pontoon, tide dependent) or your own boat. If you fancy home cooked food the kitchen is well equipped and modern and the grocery store stocks a diverse range of fresh and other provisions.
