Pashan is a residential suburb of Pune that is off the Mumbai-Bangalore national highway. This makes it a very convenient location to travel out of the City without having to go through the inner city commute. Being on the western outskirts of Pune, Pashan prides in being an excellent residential locality with open spaces and a bio-diversity park to be proud of. This quiet leafy residential place has the following attractions nearby - Pune University, IISER, NCL, ARDE, Flame School of Business- Oxford Golf & Country Club, Symbiosis International University, Lavale, UWC Mahindra College, Mercedes-Benz International School, Fergusson College and Hinjewadi IT Park, Shri Chhatrapati Sports Complex - Balewadi, restaurants, theatres and malls nearby. Nature lovers cannot miss the famous Pashan Lake and its surrounding area which attracts migratory birds and so is popular spot for bird watchers. There is a 300-metre footpath called the nature trail alongside the lake. It is constructed along the western shore of Pashan lake. Pashan is well connected to Baner, Aundh, Bavdhan, Kothrud, University Circle and Hinjewadi via excellent roads. The train station is about 10 km away (20 mins) and the airport about 15 km away (35–40 mins). Suttarwadi, Abhinav College and Pashan village are the major stops for PMPML buses that cater to passengers. Direct buses are available from these stops to the heart of Pune - Deccan Gymkhana, wholesale market - Marketyard and Pune Station. Regarding other options of travelling within Pune, one could use an auto rickshaw or a private cab. There is an auto rickshaw stand right off the main road at a walk-able distance and there are quite a few private taxi services like Uber and Wings Radio Cabs that you can reserve and avail of as well. Private cabs would provide you a much more comfortable pick-up and drop-off facility. We will assist and guide you if you wish to make use of any of these options. Rickshaws are available just outside the gate and take you everywhere. Taxis need to be booked at least twenty minutes in advance for single journeys, and can be booked for a half day or full day as well. We suggest booking through the Uber App or Ola App if you have a smartphone. These are private taxi companies which offer fairly reliable services in Pune.
