You are very likely to hear dawn and dusk kookaburras calling from our self contained unit. It is a very versatile spot to stay. Take a stroll through Yellagonga Regional park to Neil Hawkins Park with free bbq facilities and children’s playground. In 4 km you will find Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City, a major shopping centre enhanced by restaurants, cinemas and Joondalup train station. In 5 km you can reach one of our west coast beaches for swimming, fishing and stunning sunsets. This unit is a self contained grannie flat, with private entrance through a wooden gate. It has two bedrooms with a semi ensuite , lounge, kitchen and dining area. Enjoy a morning cuppa on the front patio before planning your day. There is also a patio and seating area direct from one of the bedrooms at the back of the unit. Guests are welcome to share our family pool with us, but must adhere to a responsible adult being in the pool with children at all times. To access the unit please use the wooden gate entrance on the corner before the main house. We are happy to share our swimming pool area with you and your family, with the acceptance of our conditions of no children to be in the pool area without a responsible adult. The pool has a pool fence separating it from the front garden area of the unit. Use of the laundry and dryer can be arranged. We live in the main house but will respect our guest privacy.The unit is self contained, but we will be available ,of course, by phone or text or in person if needed . Our unit is easy accessible by both public transport and road. It is close to Yellagonga Regional park where you may see kangaroos in the wild, kookaburras and an array of native birds in the bush and shores of Lake Joondalup. It is 4km from Joondalup Lakeside Shopping centre, Joondalup train station and Joondalup hospital , Grand cinemas, and a variety of restaurants throughout the district of Joondalup. A 5 minute drive down Burns Beach Road brings you to one of our lovely beaches for swimming, fishing and glorious sunsets. Our west coast beaches both north and south of Burns Beach are stunning, with the City of Joondalup providing free BBQ amenities in most large parks and coastal areas. Our own pool is closed during winter June to Sept, however there is a great public sports centre 5 mins drive away with a large indoor swimming pool, basketball courts, netball courts and tennis, plus a full gym. We have 3 public golf courses within easy travelling distance : Caramaar Golf course, Sun City Golf Course and Joondalup Resort Golf Course . We are approx 1/2 hour from the Swan Valley Wine Region offering an abundance of WA wines to try and buy and even more delicacies to try with House of Honey, Margaret River Chocolate Factory , The Cheese Barrel and many more. Go north for a 30 minute drive to Yanchep National Park and enjoy the natural surroundings and see kangaroos, native birds and parrots and koalas in one area. A 20 minute drive will take you to the tourist location of Sorrento Quay with safe beaches and many styles of restaurants and cafes. A ferry leaves from here 3 times a day to Rottnest Island , where you can visit the only home of the little marsupial the quokka, or ride a bike or take a bus round the car free island, fish, snorkel or swim . We are 25 minutes by train or car from Perth City and CBD and 45 minutes by car and just over an hour by train to the historic city of Fremantle. Our unit is close to bus, train and access to the Mitchell freeway is 4 km . We are happy for you to park a car in our main driveway. We have room on our front lawn of our main house for your car, close to the corner and unit We have a porta cot, high chair and toddler bed available on request at booking.
