Quiet area of Chartres, my wife Véronique, artist, has completely renovated with taste and in a spirit of comfort, in the attic of her artist’s studio, a charming loft-style studio, spacious and very bright. The access is totally independent by exterior spiral staircase. Internet access. It will take you 15 mn walking along the river to go the old town, 8 mn by bicycle. Parking free, bus, shops nearby. Perfect for a couple, business traveler, short or long stay. My wife Veronique has completely renovated and furnished our loft-style studio in the attic above her art studio, as if we would live in it. It is very spacious and bright, with focus on comfort and energy saving : wood everywhere, all joinery made to order, high quality isolation (wood wool), will make you feel very comfortable as well in summer or winter. The flat includes : -Living-room with sofa bed and TV -Fully equipped kitchen with dish washer, microwave, fridge and dining area -Cozy semi-closed double-bed bedroom -Bathroom with Italian shower, -Independent toilets with washing machine We wish you a very nice stay ! The access is totally independent by exterior spiral staircase. Veronique's studio has it's own private access too. The great advantage of this flat is that you have nearby easy free parkings around which is not the case in the center of Chartres. Veronique works at day time in her studio and will be always happy to talk to you and answer to your questions. She will give you all our best addresses and nice things to do. She speaks fluent english. The flat is in a residential area, very quiet and 15 to 20 mn walking to the center of the town, along a very nice walk along the Eure river, and 8 mn bicycle ride. There is a bus stop to go to the center of the town 3 mn nearby. You can go to Paris in 1 hour by train. Orly airport is 1 hour far by car. You can share the little green yard and rest in a deck chair. A bicycle is at your disposal. Important: the use of the wood stove is strictly forbidden for safety reasons. I will be pleased to inform you about all the addresses and places to visit nearby in order to make your stay very pleasant.
