There’s also a traditional step well (baoli), a walled garden and a paved area facing the forest and a naturally landscapes hillock. Guest also have access to the lounge cum dining area which has a traditional wood stove and low height Japanese style seating. There is also a generous dining table cum desk. Guests can BYOB and relax in the space while they enjoy their meals. We also organise experiences and offer paid meals, hot beverages, bakery items and other goodies in the space. There mood lighting and soft music in evenings. A family member is always around to assist guests, supervise staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. We are happy to share experiences and share recommendations. We also curate walks, picnics, day-excursions and activities for guests on paid basis. The property opens into a 2300 acre alpine forest. Guests can enjoy long walks in the woods and the neighbouring countryside. There are many charming villages. Many eateries are located along the access road (NH22). We are equidistant from Oberoi Wildflower Hall and Taj resort Theog (both 15 min drive) both offer fine dining options. We are curate authentic experiences for guests staying in the two resorts. Plenty of horse riding, adventure and snow activities in the vicinity. Shimla’s famous Mall Road is 1 hour drive (20 km). The nearest market with grocery, medical and wine shop is 1.1 km away or 10 min walk (along a spectacular trail) or 3 minutes drive. There are many day trip and pleasurable drive options from our location - Chail palace towards South; Narkanda to the North; Mashobra, Naldera and Tattapani towards West and Hatkoti, Jubbal and Chanshal towards East. Best way to reach is by car. You can also take a cab or bus from Shimla airport, Shimla train station and ISBT Shimla. -We don’t have TV but have very good wifi. -Bring warm clothing or thermals esp if you like to play in the snow in the winter. Decathalon in Zirakhpur (on the highway just before Chandigarh) is a good place to buy. -We use industrial vaccum cleaners with HEPA filters to clean the property -All washing is done at high temperature followed by disinfection -Guest co-operation is requested to keep the place clean and safe - Indoor smoking is strictly prohibited - Breakfast and meals available on paid basis - Pantry / Kitchen access is not allowed
