Killarney Country Escape
Unfortunately due to COUNCIL restrictions imposed with all Airbnb hosts in the area, I am forced to obtain Rezoning on my property. Prior to August 2019 this was not a requirement with council if you had under 5 guests stay. There is nothing I can do at the present time. They tell me if I book the property with long term tenant they do not require me to rezone the property. As a result I have had to block out availability however, if you are requiring long term rental then please contact me. Charming old Queenslander, with a newly renovated private flat that adjoins my home (under the same roof). The flat is completely self contained and at the back of the house with private entrance - views of the mountains from kitchen window and lounge overlooks courtyard and more mountain views. It has a living room with a day bed (single bed), double bedroom, built in robe, fully functional kitchen, large amenities room consisting of shower, separate WC, vanity and laundry facilities. Set on half an acre in the township of Killarney just a short 5 minute stroll. No under cover parking but plenty of parking off street. The property is suitable for short to long term rental (3 month rental or more) - ideal for a contractor who is working in the area and requires an alternative to living in a motel or pub. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook your own meals. Large pantry, plenty of cupboard space (linen) and wardrobe. This is a completely self contained private flat for you to enjoy. You can wander around the garden, enjoy the courtyard area and lap up some sun and just take in the mountain views that surround. You are welcome to use my veranda located at the front and side of my home (where I live) and enjoy a cuppa or a wine while taking in the mountain views or enjoy a moonlit sky. The night sky here is beautiful. You will need to access this area by coming to the front of my home and up the front stairs. Guests arriving will be greeted by me if for any reason I am unable to be at home on arrival, arrangements are in place for you to access the flat. I will give you all the space you need. This is your getaway so I will make sure you have everything you need. Consider my home as a home away from home. I can provide you with brochures and information on local attractions. I work shift work and may not be at home when you stay, but if I am home, please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything you need. Enjoy a meal at the local Hotel. Perfect location for exploring Queen Mary Falls only 10 mins drive away, walk to the local township for lunch or dinner at the Killarney Hotel or the local bowls club. Visit 2 Art galleries in town. A 20 minute drive to Warwick and the famous annual "Jumpers & Jazz" festival in July, explore Stanthorpe an easy 45 min drive away. Killarney has so much to explore with its natural beauty and renowned for its bird life. Bushwalking, trail bike riding there is a lot to do here. As my property is in residential Killarney, I would ask for visitors to respect the neighbours and be mindful of noise levels after 10pm. In other words - we dont do loud parties here :) I hope you understand. It is best suited for a couple or single people who simply need a place to relax and sleep at the end of a day exploring. There is no public transport in Killarney, 20 minutes drive to Warwick. Toowoomba is an hour and half away known each year for the annual Carnival of Flowers show. I have 1 furry friend - a cat who loves being on the veranda so she might want to curl up on your lap but she usually leaves visitor's alone. If I am home before your arrival I will leave some fresh milk in your refrigerator for you, however work often keeps me away so you may like to pick up some milk on your way. I always have long life milk in the pantry if all else fails. I like to keep a clean home, so no need to clean up after yourself at check out, I will take care of all of that. All you need is your clothes, personal toiletries, the rest will be taken care of. If you have booked for a week or longer, I will do a weekly clean of the flat - washing linen and ensuring everything is clean for you. Paking is off the street, however there is no under cover parking at this time.
