NATURE EDGE A beautiful home just on the EDGE of Colombo surrounded by nature. Lots of trees and birds to keep you intrigued. Clean fresh breeze that is unique even though it's situated close to the city. The Diyawanna River flows just 20 feet from the property and is a perfect landscape for a nature walk/jog. We are a pet friendly home and are big animal lovers. Over the course of the day the natural lighting creates beautiful sceneries that are inspiring and breath taking. It's a very open house with lots of natural lighting and fresh air. The house is wrapped around by an antique veranda. The garden is full of large trees and home to many local and migratory birds. The garden is full of places to sit and relax. Perfect for photography and painting. The room offered opens up to the veranda. You will be provided a very homely experience. As guests the garden is open for exploring and relaxing. The veranda is accessible from the room. From the garden just across the small bridge is a nature trail which runs along the Diyawanna River which is perfect for walks or jogs. We are willing to help you make the most of your stay. We are a very friendly family and love hosting. On availability we could organise a city tour in our car for 10 dollars. We will show you all the shopping spots and landmarks. We believe in making friends for life. We have being living here for the last 27 years. It was a large rubber plantation before it became a residential area. It is a private lane, home to many lovely families. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We have a neighbourhood society where we plan annual social gatherings and clean ups. Neighbours enjoy walks down the lane with pets in tow or with baby strollers. It is very safe to even walk at night Uber is freely available in Colombo and the local app Pick me is even more popular as you can requests for Tuk Tuk ( Tri shaw) straight to your door step. The local bus service is also Available from the top of the lane which is a 950 meter walk from our house. We can help you organize transport at a reasonable rate without being cheated by local agents. The Department of Immigration and Emigration is only 15mins away if you need to extend your Visa. If you just want to relax without being in the city this is the ideal place. At NATURE EDGE you will be away from the hustle and bustle and yet very close to the city if you want to visit it for shopping or night life. International fast food chains Mc Donlads, Burger King, Pizza hut, Dominoes, Manhanton Fish Market & Subway are only 10 mins away.
