Adelaide Seaside Cottage

Brilliantly located, our heritage cottage is full of charm and perfect for a seaside getaway or professional stay. A two minute walk will have you on a train to the city while in four minutes you can be standing on beautiful Seacliff beach. Our cottage was built in the mid 1800's and has been beautifully restored. An extension to the rear of the property, which opens out into a private courtyard gives it a modern open plan feeling. There is a secure garage at the rear for parking one vehicle. Guest's have full use of the home including an office with comfortable office chair and desk, bookshelf, guest chairs and filing cabinet. The bedding configuration comprises 2 bedrooms with a queen size bed in each. The office has a single fold out sofa bed whilst the living area has a double sofa bed. We are more than happy to make ourselves available to our valued guests when it comes to settling in or offering information about our beautiful city and surrounding areas. We love our location and neighborhood because it is just so convenient! The beach is only a four minute walk down the street. The beach is patrolled by the Surf Lifesaving Club so it's ideal for families. There's a cafe, a takeaway as well as the Seacliff Hotel. It's a short stroll along the Esplanade to Jetty Rd Brighton, now a popular location for shops, restaurants and cafes, or an even more scenic walk along the boardwalk in the other direction. Local supermarkets and a butcher, fishmonger and bakery are located nearby. Westfield Marion shopping centre is a short 10 min drive and the beautiful McLaren Vale wine district and Fluerieu peninsula are a 30-40 min drive. Travel to the city is easy by train (21-26 mins) with the station about a 2 min walk away. Travel to the city by car takes 20-30+ mins depending on traffic. The airport is 14 kms away and costs approximately $30 to arrive at by taxi. Linen and towels are supplied. There is a washing machine and ironing facilities. There is a shower and a bath in the bathroom. The toilet is separate so there's no need to wait until someone has had their shower. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, full size fridge, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is an old, but still working, BBQ out the back. The secure carport is has a remote control door and there is a small shed for storing bikes and beach gear. The carport fits a normal size car but with a longer than normal car, you might not be able to lower the roller door. Some people notice a bit of traffic noise in the front bedroom, especially in summer when there are lots of people heading to the beach.
