Relax outside the tent on your outdoor table and chairs, make a fire in the extra large fire pit complete with cast iron pan and camp fire jaffle iron. Guests are provided with an esky and ice to keep your food and drinks cold. While the tent is not equipped with power, we have ensured you will have everything you will need, including plenty of lighting, power bank to charge devises and bluetooth speaker with an abundance of backup batteries. PROVIDED - Kettle, frying pan, glasses, cutlery and crockery - Bedding and towels - Multiple lanterns and lights, Bluetooth speaker - Outdoor table setting with large umbrellas - Large fire pit with grill, Fire wood - Drinking water BUT WHY IS IT CALLED THE LODGE? When we were thinking of names for our new glamping area, one definition of camping was “to lodge temporarily, especially in an inappropriate or uncomfortable place.” Our glamping tent could not be further from this, however it did give us the name – The Lodge. It even matches the cottage’s name as the other residence of the PM. The Lodge is located in the middle of our eight acre camping paddock and the tent is located away from the amenities block. Guests can drive straight to the tent and park next to it. Due to this we can't guarantee complete privacy, if this is a problem for you, we suggest avoiding the busiest times like long weekends. We are usually very quiet during the week. The owners live 2km away on the same property but are around if there are any issues. Sandra or Emma will greet you on arrival usually, otherwise you will see one or both of us at some stage during your stay, however we like to leave our guests to enjoy their time away and not bother them. The farm is over 600 arces, it is rural farming land, you won't see any neighbours. There is no public transport, you will need a car to visit and explore the area.
