Green Hill Cottage, Noosa Hinterland
Everything you need for a relaxing stay in an idyllic hinterland setting 2km from peaceful Kin Kin with its gourmet cafe, iconic pub, and Noosa Trail. Set on 16 acres, you can unwind on three decks, enjoy the firepit under the trees, or wander up our 'Green Hill' for amazing views. Nearby Pomona and surrounding villages have markets, breweries, cafes, vineyard, berry picking, and bushwalking. A great base for visiting Lake Cootharaba and Noosa Everglades or day trips to Noosa and Rainbow Beach. The spacious cottage has a main section with a country-style kitchen fully equipped for self catering, with fridge, oven, stove, crockery, stovetop coffee, toastie maker, stick blender and more, or head to the balcony to use the modern gas BBQ. Coffee, tea, spreads and cooking essentials are provided to help get you started. Enjoy your meals in the dining room or on the outdoor deck table. The light-filled lounge room has comfy couches, lovely views, and a TV with access to Netflix. The main section also has two bedrooms - a generous master bedroom with king-size bed and walk-in robe, and a second bedroom with a double-size bunk bed (double top and bottom). There's also a family-size bathroom with a shower over bath. You also have access to the cottage's 'guest suite' area, connected by the balcony, but with a separate entry. This suite has a queen bedroom with its own sitting area, TV, and tea/coffee facilities, and its own bathroom with shower. Perfect for groups who are together, but value a little space at times. While the hinterland has a wonderful climate with generally crisp mornings, warm days and cooler nights, the cottage has fans and split system AC throughout to help on any particular hot or cold days. The garden has a firepit in amongst mango, orange, nectarine, banana and mulberry trees, and you may spot black cockatoos, king parrots and green tree frogs. The property, which is registered with Land for Wildlife, is on 16 acres which you are welcome to wander through. Take a short walk to the top of 'green hill' (look for the white water tank) for magical views over the countryside, especially at dawn or dusk, or to stargaze at night. The cottage is a great place for children to play and enjoy nature, however please note there is a small dam and supervision should be provided as required. We welcome you to bring your well behaved pet upon approval. The cottage has a fenced yard for your dog, and while it may not be fully secure for smaller dogs, the balcony areas are securely fenced/gated, and there is also a large open shed that can be used. We do not accept excessive barkers or aggressive dogs, and ask that you keep your dog on a leash whenever outside the fenced area. Please take care inside the cottage, and pets are not allowed on any furniture or bedding. The whole cottage will be yours to use. The only others you may see would be owners coming to feed their animals when we have any stock in our paddocks. We are available via phone, app and email throughout your stay, and respond promptly to any queries. Experience a rural atmosphere with a special hinterland backdrop. Up the road peaceful Kin Kin has the Black Ant Gourmet Cafe and General Store, the renovated Kin Kin Hotel, and the Noosa Trail. Head south 10 mins to Cooran with cool cafes, quirky shops and a brewery, or to Pomona which has many cafes, restaurants, bakery, brewery, supermarket, weekly markets and more. Drive to Lake Cootharaba in 20 minutes, Noosa in 35 minutes, or head north to Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach. While there is a train to nearby Cooran and Pomona, you'll need a car to get around (or a horse!) Only phones on the Telstra network get reception in Kin Kin, however once you are hooked up to the WiFi you can use AirBnB plus other messaging Apps. All our precious water is harvested rainwater so please be water wise. The kitchen tap is filtered for drinking. You can park outside on the gravel driveway, or if you prefer you can park in the large vehicle shed. Please read the cottage manual for extra details, and most importantly enjoy your stay!
