‘Bimbimbi’ holiday house on the Myall Lakes
Nerong is in Myall Lakes National Park. Under 3 hrs drive north of Sydney. Our house is about 300m from the boat ramp giving you access to enjoy the Myall Lakes. Nerong village doesn’t have any shops or cafes. Bulahdelah (8 mins drive) has many amenities. It has a great pub, bottle shop, butcher, bakery, IGA, Chemist , clubs and cafes. It’s best to bring supplies with you. We allow pets on application The house is set up for you to relax &chill on the verandah and watch the friendly kangaroos Only 2 minutes drive off the A1 Pacific highway turn off. Check yourself in with the lock box. Amazing bird life in the park and lots of water birds if you venture onto the beautiful lakes. Modern kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for families or friends. Use of a 2-person canoe and two kayaks available. Small selection of children’s dvds, board games and some cds available. Pets will be considered on individual basis. Drinking water provided. Hand sanitizer provided. Wraparound secure verandah. BBQ area. Fire pit available. Washing machine with clothesline. Limited satellite internet, due to remote area. The village of Nerong is on tank water, so we request guests to use water thoughtfully. Nerong is a great base to discover wineries, cafes, farms and gardens in The Great Lakes Food Trail. All areas will be cleaned and sanitized as per Airbnb requirements. We will available by phone and email during your stay There are many native animals such as kangaroos, goannas and a large variety of birdlife in this quaint village. It is an 8 minute drive north to Bulahdelah shops. There are Bushwalking trails and swimming areas to relax in the tea tree waters. Great for Boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, SUP and exploring the lakes. There are excellent beaches and other areas to access the lakes within 30 - 40 minutes drive , for example, Jimmy’s beach, Neranie (good for littlies), Hawks nest, Tea gardens and Seal rocks. A walk to Sugarloaf Lighthouse at Seal Rocks is great. Broughton Island day trip on Tea Garden ferry service. Try oysters in Karuah or Tea Gardens. Farmers market in Nabiac last saturday of every month. Valley view Farm &Co at Rainbow Flat good for garlic , pickles etc. You could visit Yeo Farm in Bulahdelah , a local lamb farm. Nabiac is approx 30 mins drive away, and has National Motorcycle Museum, nice cafes and a Curiosity Shop. Also in that vicinity is Villa D’este Winery. The Grub Cafe at Wingham is worth a visit for lunch. A car is the best way to get around. Having a boat of some kind is also handy. Bed linen, Towels and Pillows are provided. Washing machine and clothesline available. Wifi available, however it is a satellite service , and therefore Netflix etc is not an option as it uses all the data. We suggest guests download movies on their iPads prior to arriving. Also mosquitoes can occasionally can be a problem , we suggest using the ceiling fans and/or bring mozzie repellant. No shops or restaurants within walking distance of our house. Nearest beach is 30 minutes drive. Shops are 8 minutes drive away in Buladelah.
