Tooralai Cottage

Set in a private garden with beautiful mountain views, this cottage is the perfect retreat. Ten minutes from Boonah this picturesque place is the ideal location for a Scenic Rim get-away, writers retreat or wedding accommodation for Boonah or Kalbar. Take a picnic basket and rug provided and explore the gorgeous Scenic Rim mountains, lakes and national parks. The cottage is a rustic stand-alone nestled within the gardens and is filled with character and charm. It is open plan studio style and has a deck on the front which is perfect for an evening sundowner or your morning coffee overlooking the mountains - you can enjoy the spectacular view from the veranda, sofa, desk or bed. The kitchen is set up for self-catering and has a microwave, hotplates, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee maker and dishes/cutlery. The rambling gardens are a continual work in progress. Feel free to wander the gardens around the cottage or sit with a picnic enjoying the views and wildlife. But please take care as paths can be uneven and slippery when wet. If you don’t feel like exploring & just want to hang around then you’re welcome to doze off in the hammock under the jacaranda tree. Unfortunately this cottage is not suitable for children. We respectfully request that those travelling with children do not ask to book. One dog is allowed - however, we don't have fencing that will contain a dog who may wander. Because I work full-time I have blocked out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. If you would like to book these week-days please send an inquiry and I'll do my best to accommodate you. If guests are part of an official wedding party and intend to have photographers, family or friends visit, this must first be approved so please send an inquiry before booking. We've had a wet summer so the driveway is bit treacherous. A 4WD will be ok but if you have a front wheel drive you won't get up the driveway when it's wet.. sorry.
