Baramula Cottage

Baramula is a family run cattle property near Warwick with views to the ranges and open grazing. With plenty of space to relax and enjoy the serenity of the Queensland bush and the brilliance of the stars at night. We have recently changed our accommodation settings with airbnb. We are happy to host longer term arrangements from 1 week to 6 weeks. We are happy to discuss odd arrangements or longevity or pricing. Regards, Fran and Rod. The two bedroom cottage offers a tranquil place for couples or families, with a queen size bed in bedroom 1, and a double bed with single bunk bed above in the second bedroom, in addition a foldout bed and port-a-cot are available on request. We have just installed electric blankets on the three beds. And we would like to remind guests that the cottage does not have reverse cycle heating and cooling. It has a fully functioning kitchen with oven and stove top, microwave and refrigerator, toaster and sandwich press, electric frypan and cookware and utensils are provided. The cottage has a front sitting room to enjoy your morning coffee or a back verandah so you can sit and relax in the afternoon. There is also a gas barbecue in it's own shelter with a solar panel providing lighting in the evening and an outdoor sitting area. The cottage has a fully fenced yard, so pets are welcome. Your dog or cat is welcome inside the cottage, but please be mindful of wet paws etc. The smartTV has a dvd player attached but is not connected to an aerial. Bring your own dvd or usb or smartphone to watch. Outside there is a campfire area to roast marshmallows and enjoy an authentic bush experience. Some wood for the campfire is supplied, if you require more wood, you must provide yourself. Oops, yourself needs to get more wood. The cottage is surrounded by our property in all directions regardless of fences for quite a distance and guests are welcome to go for a bushwalk or bring your bikes, native wildlife is abundant. We regularly see eastern grey kangaroos, many types of wallaby, echidnas, snakes, turtles, goannas, many birds and nocturnal species. On clear nights the stars are spectacular. Guests have the cottage to themselves and are welcome to go for a bushwalk or bike ride on the property. Elbow Valley is 20 minutes from Warwick and 45 minutes from Stanthorpe. It is a quiet area and out of sight of neighbours (except us). The cottage is away from the road beside gum trees. You need your own transportation to get here.
