Forest Cabin Byron Bay Hinterland

The Forest Cabin is A quaint Balinese style timber cabin, a natural hideaway, perfect for couples, or singles, wanting privacy in natural beauty. The timber, carved cabin with large glass windows, is nestled within the Australian sub tropical rain forest, in the hinterland of Byron Bay, be surrounded by native flora and fauna and the sounds of rain forest birds in this private little forest cabin. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful, unique outside bathroom to bathe and shower under the stars. Simple luxury. There is NO MOBILE RECEPTION, however, you have the use of the landline phone (honesty system). WIFI is available for Internet access such as responding to emails or for messenger or just searching the web. NOTE: due the limited amount of GB and the satellite wifi guests are not permitted to download movies, stream movies, watch videos or Youtube videos via the internet. This will use up the limited GB per month and the next guest will not have access to the internet. Thank you. The satellite package that I have allows for Zoom meetings without using the data, it is a business package. Unfortunately Satellite internet has not option to have unlimited it does not exist for satellite. The eco, composting, squat loo has a forest view and is situated outside in a small out house not far from the outdoor bathroom. There is a wooden ladder to walk up to access the composting loo. The cabin has a TV for watching DVD movies only as there is no television reception. We suggest to bring DVDs with you or you can use some of the Bali DVDs provided in the cabin (some may not be in great working order as sometimes the case with Bali DVDs). There is a small selection of books to read also. The water in the cabin is rain water, triple filtered and is suitable for drinking, bathing and cooking. This setting is ideal for nature lovers and those who wish to retreat in nature for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The cabin is not a party house and we appreciate no loud noise. To keep the grounds neat and tidy we have a grounds maintenance person come each Tuesday, starting round 9am, for around 3 hours (this includes time spent at another house further down the road and ending up at the cabin from around 11am - 12noon approximately). Also each Tuesday fortnight we have a gardener that comes to work on the gardens around the cabin working from 9am - 4pm (most of this time is spent around the main house further down the road and some time around the cabin). Guests are reminded that this property is in the middle of the rainforest. In the forest there is an abundance and diverse range of native fauna (frogs, wallabies, spiders, lizards, goannas and other native fauna). Please tread carefully when you are walking around outside and at night please always take a torch with you. Guests have full access to the whole cabin, outdoor bathroom & cabin yard. Please do not wander onto or enter the neighbour properties, all the neighbours are very private and appreciate their privacy respected. The cabin is situated on a Multiple Occupancy property which is owned by local musicians, artists and yoga teachers. Each of the houses, on the 75 acre property, is situated so that they are private from one another and blend in with the natural surrounds. Not far away you will find Minyon Falls in the Nightcap National Park. Great for bush walking, viewing the falls from the top, having picnics or just chilling out in nature. If you feel like heading to the beach, you have the choice of Brunswick Heads with a long, beautiful beach and stunning river or Byron Bay with a variety of amazing beaches to choose from. If you feel like browsing through some interesting towns and villages, visit Mullumbimby or Bangalow Villages. Beaches, villages and towns are within a 35 minute radius. Due to the location cabin guests will need their own car. Please take shoes off and leave them just inside the door to avoid bringing dirt into the cabin or on the bed linen. Thank you.
