Horningsea Rural Retreat

Horningsea is a 25 acre property with brilliant views, offers quality accommodation, space and privacy. The retreat is fully self contained with kitchen, laundry and separate master bedroom, ensuite. Canberra CBD about 20 kms away. We are close to local shops and a number of small towns. The gardens, grove, orchid, flora and fauna are other attractions. Do nature walks, tour the gardens or relax. Dog friendly but only one allowed. Wheel chair access. Social distancing compliant. The highlight of Horningsea is the ever changing, breathtaking views. The gardens also offer flowering flora much of the year, which blend wonderfully with the setting. The property offers privacy so one can relax or go for a walk either in the timbered areas or around the property. The retreat itself is spacious with separate living areas and its own entrance. It is fully self contained with kitchen, laundry and outdoor setting. The unit has its own car park area. Guest are free to go anywhere on the property, which is 25 acres. We do ask guests with a dog to keep their pet on lead when walking around the property. There are no fenced in areas. We also have a pool table, which guests are welcome to use. The outside setting allows guests to sit out in the evening or day, enjoying a tea or glass of something while enjoying the view. Importantly social distancing can be easily applied. We also reside on the property and always available to provide advice or assistance. We are in a rural setting and you will need vehicle to get to other attractions or do some shopping. There are a number of small towns, villages in a 30km radius that offer local markets, specialist stores, especially on weekends or Canberra is not that far and always has attractions. We do ask guests accompanied by a dog to adhere to our policy of keeping their pet on lead if walking about the property. Kangaroos, rabbits can result in your dog running off. Given the nature of the accommodation provide we prefer to keep the number of dogs allowed to just one per booking.
