Fettler's Crossing Farm Stay

A well equipped cottage, the property comprises of a 20 acre farm giving guests plenty of space to relax in a wonderfully quiet peaceful environment. The KEP track runs past the gate, making this a great destination for walkers and bike riders. We have rabbits, guinea pigs, chicken, ducks, sheep, donkeys, ponies and geese on the property. All animals are friendly and guests, especially children, are welcome to interact with these pets. There is no road frontage, access down a small slip road. The farm is beautifully quiet with lots of outside nooks and crannies to enjoy a book or a glass of wine. The night skies are amazing with no ambient light. There is a creek running through the property and we provide fishing nets so that the children can catch small fish. The floor is tile and the house is designed to be comfortable and functional, we don't mind if a bit of mud is traipsed in. There is are log fires in the cottage and the studio. We don't live on the property but I visit every day to feed the horses, the children are welcome to help me tend to the horses and a trail ride can be arranged at and extra cost of $50 per rider for a one hour ride Guests can access the whole of the farm (remembering to close gates!) We invite our guests to treat it as though they own a farm for the duration of their visit. The walled garden has small tables, chairs and tiny china cups and plates. We invite your children to enter this very special space and interact with the chicken, rabbits and guinea pigs. Would recommend own transport The main thing which will enhance your stay is the option to do some horse riding. We own Forge Farm Riding School and many of our guests stay at Fettler's Crossing to experience the wonderful riding country we have on our doorstep. If you have a horse of your own then you are welcome to bring it, and rides of any duration can be arranged on one of our horses if you wish. However, the riding is an optional extra and many people come to Fettler's to allow the kids some outdoor space to run free or as a beautiful, romantic getaway for couples.
