Seaford is a hidden gem only 50 minutes from the Melbourne CBD and the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula - the perfect spot for a weekend or longer stay. Enjoy the pristine beach, local cafes & bike tracks. We offer free wifi, breakfast supplies, beach towels, bikes and self-checkin! Queen bed with pillow top mattress, wooden side tables and fresh 1000 thread cotton sheets and cosy donna with a mohair rug for that extra comfort. The bed is so comfortable you will never want to get up in the morning! Overhead fan and ducted heating keep the room temperature perfect all year round. Private ensuite, including shower, toilet and vanity is right there. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, plush towels and tissues are all provided. The bedroom looks through wooden venetian blinds to a private Italian styled alfresco deck with natural light flooding in. Through the sliding doors to the deck, you will find a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee or a wine that you picked up after exploring the 100's of Mornington peninsula wineries on offer only 30 minutes drive away. The deck is private at the front of the family home where you can enjoy the garden and peace and quiet. Included in your stay: - Unlimited Wifi - Basic breakfast supplies for the first few days including muesli, milk, tea and coffee. A large Woolworths supermarket is within walking distance. - Hair dryer, clothes rack, iron & ironing board. TV, DVD player, some DVDs. Toaster, kettle, sandwich maker, paper towel,cutlery, plates/bowls/mugs/wine glasses/glasses. Included on request: microwave, clothes hanger, 2 x mountain bikes & helmets to explore some of the local trails such as Kananook Creek, Seaford Wetlands, beach or Peninsula link. Bike lock also included. Please request this before arrival. We have a baby portacot & highchair available for use if required - please request this at the time of booking or before arrival. No additional charges for the child under 2. There is space to put the portacot in the room. Guest access is via a secluded path from the front yard, with security lighting and garden lights to guide you if you arrive after dark. Guests can park on the front lawn off the road or in the street . There is no access to the main area of the house but I am available to help any time . Sliding fly wire screens on the windows and door - can be locked for security . If guests require assistance, they can use the main front door to contact me. I will be able to greet guests on arrival and would happy to chat and give ideas of where to go and what to do. Guests can easily self-checkin at anytime and I'm also available on mobile should there be any issues. Seaford is a quiet residential suburb with a community feel. The local shops include cafes (including one on the beach), book shop, florist, Thai restaurant, Spanish cafe with music and a range of takeaway options including gelato. There are safe bush tracks for bike riding and walking and beach board walks. Lots of nature animals and wild life. Frankston offers music festivals, Arts, culture , galleries & movies – be sure to look up what’s on before your trip. There are over 100 wineries on the Mornington Peninsula and Seaford is just a short drive down the freeway to get there. Frankston is one of Melbourne’s most vibrant waterfront destinations with the International Iron Man, Lifesaving carnivals, Bands and concerts. The roof top bar at "The Deck" and restaurants "Waves" and "Crackerjack" all have beautiful bay views. Seaford is 50 minutes by train or car from Melbourne on the Frankston train line or driving on Monash and Eastlink freeways. My house is 10 mins walk from Seaford or Kananook station and on the local bus route which makes it easy if coming from the airport. Frankston is a 15 minutes trip away and the bus leaves from right out the front of my house. The local Woolworths supermarket and Seaford shops are 10 minutes walk through a quiet safe bush track or take the foot path. Budget car hire is close by. Two push bikes & helmets are available to borrow. Taxis can be hired locally and Uber is also available in the area. It’s an easy stroll to the beach. I provide maps and information on the Peninsula, restaurants and places to see and visit – these will all be in a folder in the room. Emergency phone numbers also included. There are 3 small steps to the deck then 2 steps to the bed room . Family amenites on request - baby bath, toys etc . Bikes- helmets on request . If the microwave is not needed just inform me on booking and i can move it out
