This beautiful region of Somerset offers walking for all abilities along with some great locations to visit including Crooks Peak, Cheddar Gorge, Clevedon Pier. Winscombe town centre is a short drive or 20-25 minute walk good range of shops including bakery, butcher, Pharmacy, local pubs, Co-op and cafes. Close to Cheddar, Weston super mare and Bristol James and Andrea will always be on hand if you need them, other than that we try to let our guests enjoy as much privacy as possible. Winscombe village is a ten minute walk from property Village itself has a local pub which does great food . Also boasting a fantastic range of take away food including an Indian, Chinese, kebab shop and fish chip shop . if your after fresh food Winscombe has its own local butchers, bakery, Wine shop and spice shop and cooperative food shop. Uplands is set directly between two villages while Winscombe has just about everything you would need for your stay without having to leave the lovely village setting, Sandford the village next door plays host to Thatchers ciders famous railway pub. The railway is only a 20 min walk down the strawberry line which is a beautiful disused railway track which was changed to a foot path. Lots of beautiful walks and cycle paths including strawberry line , crooks peak And also woodland behind property has a foothpath which you can walk to local dry ski slope for coffee or lunch Close to cheddar , wells , Glastonbury , Weston super mare , Bristol and bath. 6 miles from Bristol airport . Nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk. Nearest train station is a 20 minute drive. Due to the swimming pool being outdoor it's seasonal and is NOT open in the winter months.
