Welcome to our home and enjoy your stay in a private, self-contained modern two bed-roomed apartment with it's own entrance. The apartment opens out onto a large covered deck and outdoor living area with a guest BBQ to the side. Walk across the road, and within seconds you will find your toes sinking into the warm sand of the beautiful Ohope Beach. Alternatively, the tranquil Ohiwa Harbour is less than a five minute walk away. The apartment is well equipped for a perfect getaway in paradise! The apartment has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and ranch sliders that open onto the covered deck area. The second bedroom has 2 king single beds. The bathroom has a good size shower, heated towel rails, and a bathroom heater & extractor fan. The living area is one room with couch seating to one side and a four seating dining table on the other side, and the kitchenette at the back. The living space opens out onto the covered deck/ outdoor living area. To the side of the deck is the guest BBQ. We supply all bed linen, bathroom towels, beach towels, cereals, milk, tea, coffee, hot choc, shampoo, conditioner, soap, liquid shower wash, basic cleaning supplies including dishwasher tablets and surface sprays. There is also a selection of games/ puzzles and books for rainy days. There is a door leading into the main house, however this door is permanently locked and guests do not have access to the main house (and hosts do not have access to apartment while guests are staying). If needed, guests are welcome to use our laundry and/ or garage (often used to store mountain bikes) which also have external access via the side of the house. Guests are requested to park on the grass verge directly in front of the house. There is space on the verge for two vehicles. From the verge there are two small steps that lead down to the apartment. Along the black fence by the steps, is where the drop box is located. We will supply you with the code once bookings have been confirmed. The bus service can be flagged down right outside the house and will take you over the hill to Whakatane. Walking distance: walk accross the road to the beautiful Ohope Beach. Harbour access is directly opposite the beach access. Also within walking distance is Ohiwa Harbour, Harbour Trail, the wharf, parks, Fisherman's Wharf Cafe, Port Ohope General store and cafe, Top Ten holiday Park. Five minute drive: Ohope Four Square and bottle store, Maraetotara Park, the Charter Club, Ohope Medical Centre and Pharmacy, Ohope golf club & boat launch ramp. Eight to ten minutes Drive: Caldera Mexican restaurant, Moxi Cafe, The Quay Cafe, 4 Art Sake gallery and Shop, Distinct Gift shop, and West End Beach (Surfer's Paradise) from which there is a short walk over to the beautiful Otarawairere Bay (which continues all the way to Whakatane). Please note that the kitchenette does not have an oven. However, there is a toaster, kettle, slow cooker, large electric frying pan, single plate induction cooker, microwave, toasted sandwich maker, and a BBQ outside. The kitchenette also has a full size dishwasher and an under bench fridge with a small freezer inside.
