Enjoy a memorable stay in the heartland of Germany’s north in a novel apartment. 88 square meters of living space with private entrance and parking situated conveniently in Hankensbüttel await you. This was once a doctor’s home and practice. Renovated and converted in 2020 into a living space, we have retained the charm and quirks of its location. When renting this property, you will also have access in the basement to an indoor pool and sauna. You will rent an apartment in our home with a private entrance. We expect our property to be treated with the same respect you treat your own home and neighbors. Our property is non-smoking (inside) and we do not except pets. We are a child friendly house and you will find toys and a children’s bedroom to suit your needs. Therefore, please let us know in advance what ages we can expect and which items you will need (highchair etc.) and we will be happy to find age appropriate items for your kids! Our indoor pool is 120-135 cm deep. Our water toys should not be substituted for approved flotation devices (water wings). Children (non-swimmers) must be accompanied with an adult. Children under 12 can only sauna with an adult present. Sheets and towels are provided and laundered weekly (if staying longer). The front entrance includes a covered terrace and bicycle parking for your private use. Every room in the apartment with private entrance. Shared access to pool and sauna in the basement of the building. We are reachable per E-Mail, telephone and live at the same property and can almost always assist if something is necessary. Within meters you can walk to the Isenhagen Lake, the public pool (50 meter lanes), The Otterzentrum (Zoo), The Abbey at Isenhagen (est. 1243) and shopping downtown in Hankensbüttel. Take bike rides and walks meters away in the Hagen forest and enjoy cocktails and dinner around the corner. Heath (Heide) hiking can be found nearby. We can provide details about when and where to explore this national natural treasure. Blooming season is August to September depending on yearly climate. Grocery shopping is availble: by foot – Aldi, by car/bike E-center. Lorenz Chips Production is based in Hankensbüttel and they feature a wholesale shop to the public. Buses are available in Hankensbüttel and train connections to Uelzen/Hamburg (North) and Gifhorn/Braunschweig (South) via Wittingen train station. Wittingen is approximately 10 km to the East of Hankensbüttel. Wolfsburg/Autostadt is 45 minutes away by car and is an excellent day trip. The Phaeno (Interactive Science Museum) is also found in Wolfsburg. Celle is the same distance to the West and provides stunning intact 'Fachwerk' scenery you can enjoy during a stroll in the historic center. Heidepark (Themepark) is approximately 1 hour Northwest of Hankensbüttel and can be reached best by car. We are a multinational family and speak English and German. Musicians are welcome and allowed to practice.
