beautifull detached former country

We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful house. The house is located in a small car free village. The view is magnificent and the place is very quiet, perfect to recharge your batteries. The hosts were wonderful. We asked for internet access and it was installed just in time for our stay. We had a few minor problems with hot water at the beginning of our stay but it was fixed very timely and efficiently (within 4 hours). The house is very clean and you have all the amenities you could wish for. a beautifull detached former country stone house with garden and private swimming pool situated in Metato, a charming village in the hills of Camaiore a few kilometres from Lucca. A really magical place where time seems to have stood still. Cars can be left in a square as the house can only be reached on foot via a steep cobbled path and stone steps which run through the tiny village. All its bright and warm rooms, from the two cosy living areas with fireplace, to the four romantic bedrooms, to the country kitchen, are decorated in rural Tuscan style to create a welcoming atmosphere and offer magnificent views over the valley of Camaiore and, a little further away, the plain of Versilia and the sea at Viareggio. The house is also the perfect starting point for discovering the close cities full of art of Lucca and Pisa, the lively towns of the Tuscan Riviera such as Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio with its rare art nouveau architecture or Carrara and Pietrasanta famous for their white marble.
