RAGLAN RETREAT - Peaceful Mountain Views
Purpose built accommodation (for 1 couple) at the foothills of Mount Cole in the heart of the Victorian Pyrenees. Set well away and private from the main house, with open living/kitchen, bedroom and large bathroom. Picturesque views of the valley with a mountain backdrop in the most idyllic and quiet location where you can relax and unwind before touring the Pyrenees or exploring the stunning mountain region. Leave uplifted with a feeling of calmness and rejuvenation. This light, bright, sunny modern home has all you need to hide away and enjoy the peaceful surrounds, fresh mountain air and stunning views. Expect to feel overawed with the sights that surround you and get carried away in a magical sense of freedom and peace. Enter in to the open plan kitchen/living, put your feet up and sit back in one of the comfortable recliners while you take in the view from all angles or watch your favourite program on the wall-mounted smart tv. Grab a book and catch up on some reading while you listen to the birds or watch the native animals and resident pet cows outside your yard. The kitchen has a built in electric oven, gas cook top, and sink, with glass splash-back providing another view of the birds and mountain backdrop. There is a fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, coffee plunger and water purifier. All crockery and cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils and glassware are provided to cook for yourself. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided. Relax outside with a glass of wine or hot drink and toast marshmallows around the fire-pit whilst being mesmerised by the stunning star filled sky which is simply breath taking on clear nights. (Fire restrictions apply in summer) Inside, the house is warmed by passive solar from the sunny windows, or by reverse cycle air-conditioning which also cools the house in summer, with remote ceiling fans to living and bedroom areas. Please help conserve energy by turning it off if you go out for extended periods. Whilst the accommodation itself is completely wheel-chair accessible, with wide doorways, ramp to entrance, and toilet and shower access, the terrain of the surrounding property may be more difficult to navigate on a mountainside, with our gravel roads and undulating tracks, but certainly come and stay if you just want to settle in and relax and rest and enjoy the views. Your host Margie, is a fully qualified nutritionist and can offer optional wellness packages with nutrition consults while you're here so you can arrive home with a whole new strategy for staying well! Artworks for sale. *The price is indicated for 2 guests. Your hosts, Margie & Ross are always available during your stay and can be contacted to answer all your questions or provide assistance. Whilst you are here you can enjoy complete privacy with the retreat being tucked away at the rear of our property. Situated 15 mins from the township of Beaufort at the base of Mount Cole, host to bushwalking, mountain biking and mountain lookouts, tracks and waterfalls. Beaufort offers an abundance of fabulous eateries and cafes, a supermarket and newsagent and tourist information centre and library. Pyrenees towns and wineries branch out in every direction and the scenery is simply stunning! A good days hiking can be had by heading up Mount Cole by car, bike or foot and exploring the magnificent bush land walking and mountain bike tracks, scenic look out and camp grounds, or to the beautiful Mt Lonarch and Father Bob's Lourdes Camel Sanctuary or the stunning Ben Major Nature Conservation Reserve.. Night time dining available in Beaufort township or a 30-45 minute drive to any of the local wineries, Elmhurst or Avoca regions. If you are cooking meals in the kitchenette please use the exhaust fan over the stove and slightly open a window to avoid lingering food aroma's for the next guests in the small space (thank you)
