Clovelly Harbour view Bed & Breakfast.

A charming cottage set half way down Clovellys famous cobbled High st. The village is free from all vehicular traffic on its steep cobbled street, where the only sounds you will hear are footsteps or the donkeys hooves upon the cobbles. We are still a working fishing village catching lobster, crab and herrings. The south west coast path passes through the village , to the west is Mouthmill , a small inlet with the spectacular Black church rock formation. Harbour cottage dates from the 14 century (1361) and is still traditionally heated by a solid fuel Aga & wood burners. The front garden is an award winning garden of camellias, roses and various flowers. Clovelly harbour view bedroom is a light & cosy room with the wow factor double aspect harbour & street views. Tea & coffee making facilities & Wifi are provided. This room is NOT suitable for dogs. There are 4 letting rooms providing space for up to 8 guests with harbour or street views.Please see our other separate listings to ensure that you are booking a harbour view or a street view There is a breakfast room, 2 shared bathrooms and a front garden with seating. Clovelly is a unique village as it is traffic free, apart from donkeys & sledges. At the top of the village you can visit clovelly court gardens & church. Beyond the visitors centre you can visit the donkeys and workshops , these include candle & soap making, pottery and textiles. The village has several churches, a museum , two pubs , gift shops and an art gallery. Down in the harbour at high tide boat trips are available. A short walk along the beach bring you to the waterfall. There are several bus services from the visitors car park, which will take you to Bude or Bideford & Barnstaple. Please note that buses do not run on sundays. Please note that the high st is very steep, this is not suitable for persons with mobillity issues, wheel chairs , ect. We will charge an additional £5.00 each way to collect /return to the visitors centre.
