You will be a very short drive from the absolute best whale watching village of Lajes do Pico, and its whaling museum, the single most visited museum in the Azores. Similarly, a fabulous pick nick area under dense vegetation, a local favorite small swimming spot, and even the beautiful highlands and lagoons of the island. Restaurants and supermarkets are likewise in the area, and if you feel like being pampered, you literally have a cosy wellness center across the street. You cannot find a more central location to explore the island from end to end. The House is about 40 min drive from the airport, and slightly less from the ferry. Parking is not a problem.
