The Hut in The Wood is a beautifully appointed brand new shepherds hut nestled alone in our pretty 1 acre woodland garden in Askrigg, Wensleydale. It is an ideal tranquil retreat for one or two people wishing to stay in a peaceful setting surrounded by wildlife and wonderful views. The hut has king size bed, table and chairs, kitchen area, log burner and outside patio table and chairs, firepit, garden. Heated Shower room with wc and basin for your exclusive use 100m along the garden path. Ideal romantic get away for couples or relaxing retreat for one. Perfect for walking/cycling/sight seeing in the Yorkshire Dales. Breakfast available at extra cost. Sorry we do not accept pets or children. Our shepherds hut is completely private and situated well away from the house. The shower room/WC is exclusively for our guests use. contactless check in available. Social distancing is no problem here! The hut is near the end of our 1 acre garden, so our house is on site and we can be contacted easily if you should need us. The property is situated just on the edge of Askrigg village in Wensleydale. Askrigg is a quaint Dales village famed as being the setting for the BBC programme "All creatures Great and Small" in the past. 3 great pubs that all serve food and 2 tea rooms and a village shop under 5 minutes walk away. The area is full of footpaths and cycle routes and these can start direct from the door. There is a frequent Little White Bus Service which links the Dales villages. We always pride ourselves on our very high level of cleanliness of our hut and its facilities and would like to reassure our guests that we are following an even higher level of cleaning regime in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. We will also ensure that there is at least a 24 hour gap between bookings to ensure there is plenty of time to do so.
