This gorgeous property with a commanding view over the Drewsteignton square and Teign Valley was built by Lutyens as Julius Drew’s headquarters during Castle Drogo construction. 10% discount for weekly stays and 20% discount for monthly stays. Perched over the square in an idyllic Dartmoor village this property is a unique break from the traditional thatched cottage. High ceilings, large windows, and sumptuously decorated this property sits adjacent to one of Devons finest restaurants, The Old Inn, an award winning pub, The Drewe Arms, and it’s just down the lane from Fingle Bridge. There is ample public parking in the village. The property is on the village square, where there is parking, and there is a public lot adjacent to the churchyard. All areas of the flat. There is a closet in the guest room with a few of my belongs which I would appreciate not being used, otherwise go for it. Drewsteignton features one of Devon’s finest restaurants, The Old Inn, and my favourite pub in the world, The Drewe Arms. You’re a short walk to Castle Drogo and the Teign Valley. Across the valley is an iron age fort, Cranbrook, and onwards from there one can carry on to Chagford, Sandy Park; and those ambitious ramblers might make it to Moretonhampstead. You can easily get a taxi from Exeter St David for £35-40 last I checked - Apple Taxi. There is a bus that comes through the village, which is perfect if you want to go to Chagford for a boozy lunch, or a pub crawl back via Sandy Park and Fingle Bridge. It also goes to and from Exeter. Otherwise, your own transport is always an option. Whilst we will strive to ensure you have an enjoyable stay please do be patient should something not work perfectly.
