Situated in historic village Hawarden. The house sleeps 9 guests, or for smaller groups 3/2 bedroom option sleeping up to 6/4 (please see other listings for prices). The original house dates back to the mid 19th century and has been lovingly modernised but still retaining lots of charm. We live to the left of the property and the right side is offered as a separate holiday home. 10 minutes from Chester and within an hour of Liverpool, Snowdonia and Anglesey. The house sleeps 9 in 5 bedrooms. This lovely property offers modern living with a large open living space with a well equipped kitchen/dining area, lounge, contemporary bathrooms, wi-fi, smart TV's in all bedrooms. Ground floor: Open plan living room with French door to patio area, kitchen area with dining table, over/hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, large HD Smart TV. Bedroom 1 (downstairs): Luxury room with super-king bed (can be a twin), TV, log burner, small sofa & sofa bed, en-suite shower room, his/hers basin & toilet with underfloor heating Upstairs, via spiral staircase: Bedroom 2, Double with super-king bed (or twin), en-suite shower room & toilet), TV Bedroom 3, Double bed (or twin) with en-suite shower & toilet, TV Bedroom 4, Double bed with en-suite shower & toilet, TV Bedroom 5, Single bed, TV Large bathroom with roll top Victorian bath with claw feet, large shower, toilet. Centrally heated throughout, bed linen and towels included. Parking to the front of the property. Travel cot and high chair available. Enclosed, lawned garden with seating area and barbecue. Our garden is large and is a communal area for all our guests to use. We live next door and can be called upon if needed but we are also happy to respect your privacy during your stay. We accept groups, however due to our location and family, we prefer not to take bookings from groups of hen or stag parties (unless your group prefers a quieter and relaxed stay). We have two local pubs both serving food, the Fox & Grapes, The Glynne and The Old Grocery Restaurant (which also serves cocktails upstairs in the 'Parlour'). There is also a lovely coffee shop, the Gallery, a Chemist, Post Office, Hairdressers, Beauty Salons, Trilby Pheasant (clothes and gift shop) all within walking distance. Take a walk through the light green gates just opposite the Glynne and a lovely walk down to Hawarden castle awaits. The famous Galdstone Library is just across the road together with St Deiniol's Church. Hawarden Records Office is 2 minute walk away. Hawarden Farm Shop is just a 15 minute walk, this has a lovely outside play area, a cafe serving local produce, a deli and butchers counter. The Coach House is an ideal base to explore North Wales and Cheshire. For those who love walking, our village offers some lovely scenery or travel a little further and join the Watts Dyke footpath or take a walk up Moel Fammau. Other activities close by include cycling, at nearby Llandegla, or enjoy a round of golf at one of many golf courses. For children, Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium, Ice Skating, go-karting at The Circuit, Indoor Climbing Wall, Swimming Pools, all within 10 minute drive. Cheshire Oaks, the Designer Outlet is just a 10 minutes drive and has a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Even closer is Broughton Shopping park and Cineworld. For a day at the beach, Talacre, Rhyl and Llandudno are just over 30 mins drive. Chester Races are popular and easily reached by taxi in 10 minutes. Theatr Clwyd in Mold and Chester Storyhouse are approximately 15 minutes away. Travel a little further (1 hour approx) and Zip World, Bounce Below and the beautiful Snowdonia National Park await. Liverpool is easily reached by car or take the train from Hawarden Station. Hawarden Station is 2 minutes walk, with access to Liverpool and Wrexham. There are regular buses into Chester and Mold, where you will find plenty more places to eat and explore. We have two ground floor one bedroomed apartments at our property which may be available if you need extra space, please ask when booking. The apartments also have access to the garden area. We have a small puppy, a Cavachon called Mabel, she is lovely natured, very friendly but still learning the rules of sharing her new home with our guests so please bare with her. OUR CANCELLATION POLICY IS SET AT STRICT AND WILL NOT BE RELAXED. IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU LOOK FOR A PROPERTY WITH A FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT ANY FUTURE COVID RESTRICTIONS THAT MAYBE IMPOSED.
