Beautiful, restful, kingsize bed, ensuite room in a family home. From the bay window look out over Gerrans Bay towards Nare Head and Gull Rock, wonderful views. Our house is 2 minutes from the beach and start here for fantastic local walks. Plume of Feathers pub, Boat-house cafe, famous Hidden Hut just minutes away. Visit Truro, or Falmouth by Ferry, Heligan Gardens and various National Trust properties within easy reach. It is possible to reach us by public transport. The room has level access. The Roseland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The room is on the groundfloor just inside the main door. From the house you can walk for miles along the SW Coast Paths or choose circular routes in fabulous countryside. There are choices for meals out and a well stocked shop in the village. In the room there will be tea, coffee, milk. Cereal, fruit, bread for toast, butter and jam are provided for breakfast. We are flexible and your comfort is important, from drying rain soaked clothes to heating your pasty we are happy to help. There is a courtyard garden and a front garden if you wish to eat outside or just relax and watch the changing moods of the sea. For those with mobility issues the access is level and the shower is 'walk in' with various convenient handholds. Our days are varied as we come and go but the room is self contained and just inside the main entrance. It is comfortable for eating, resting and sleeping. We are on hand to help and give local guidance. You might be here just to rest, to walk the coastal path, attend a wedding or visit friends, interaction with our guests is flexible but we want to make sure you have a happy and comfortable stay. There are small gardens/courtyard back and front to sit out when the weather is favourable. We can be busy but its up to you whether you would like space to be quiet and private or not. We are here to help with local knowledge etc and look forward to meeting our guests from all parts of the world and walks of life. Sometimes meals en famille may be available. We are in a beautiful area, weather and seasonal changes will of course influence your stay but each mood has its own attraction. We can have wild weather and huge waves or days when there hardly seems to be a breath of wind and the sun shines constantly... There are 2 pubs within walking distance (The Plume of Feathers and the Royal Standard), a cafe (The Boathouse), a beach cafe (Tatams) and the Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick Beach a short walk along the cliff. There is a local shop and some interesting arty shops and galleries. You may want to stride along the cliff or relax in your comfortable surroundings. The air is wonderful and there are many places to visit locally and by public transport. Truro, Falmouth and St Austell are all within easy reach of this quiet and picturesque village. There are options of bus travel to Truro via Tregony or you can go to st Mawes by bus and then take the foot ferry to Falmouth from there (a great day trip). Fal River Ferries also run a number of trips from Falmouth and st Mawes including a service to Trelissick, There is superfast broadband connection and aTV but we are happy to take out the TV if you prefer to just relax and read. This is a family house and there are quiet times and busier moments but its very possible for you to come and go as you please without seeing us at all. We ask that unless you are walking the coast path, your stay is a minimum of 2 nights please.
