Absolute and Elsewhere are two adjoining cottages created from a recently restored Grade 2 listed farm building on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Lullington. There are 24 houses, a 12th century church, no street lights and footpaths through open countryside in every direction. The village adjoins the Orchardleigh Estate - a popular wedding venue, 3 miles from the market town of Frome and 12 miles from the cultural centre of Bath. Longleat is about 15 minutes away, Stonehenge about half an hour. The two bedrooms are arranged as either one double and two singles - or one double and one king-sized single. The main bathroom has a full-sized bath, the second bathroom is en-suite with bedroom one and has a shower. The cottage is wheelchair accessible on one level, with one step down to the main bathroom. The kitchen table can be made large enough to sit up to 8 - so if you've rented both cottages, everyone can sit around one table. Entire cottage with fenced garden. Access also to nearby paddock and field for dog walking and numerous nearby footpaths. Details of nearby attractions, shops and recommended places to eat are in the cottage. The farmhouse is 50 yards away, so there's always someone around if you need help with anything. The village centre has a small green and a well encircled by cottages, mostly built as pairs, with the church at the north end. Two farms are right at the heart of the village, Court Farm by the church and Gloucester Farm. The village shop, which became the Post Office closed in 1961. Nearby Attractions Frome Independent Market A quality, social market day that showcases the very best of independent produce, retail and makers that the region has to offer, against a backdrop of music, visual art and events. First Sunday of the month between April and December. Hauser and Wirth, Bruton A pioneering world-class gallery and multi-purpose arts centre, which acts as a destination for experiencing art, architecture through new exhibitions of contemporary art. On-site restaurant serves seasonal, locally sourced produce. Open with free admission to the public, six days per week. Stonehenge One of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. Visit the world-class exhibition and visitor centre with 250 ancient objects and come face to face with a 5,500 year-old man. Check online for opening times. Longleat Safari Park A land of adventure where lions roam, tigers stalk and monkeys swing. Travel through time in a grand stately home. Lose yourself in a magical mazes. Hold exotic creatures from the ends of the Earth. Open March to October. Wookey Hole The UK’s largest cave system, recently blasted tunnels now give access to a new chamber which opens up previously unseen caverns and formations. Access to Circus Shows, Kids Play Areas, Mirror Maze, Penny Arcade and more. Check online for opening times. Parking is in front of the cottage. There is no public transport in the village. Frome Railway Station BA11 1RE is about 12 minutes drive, 3.5 miles Taxi to Lullington about £10. Westbury Station BA13 4HP has fast direct trains to London, about 20 minutes drive. There is no public transport in the village and no pub. So you will need a car!
