My cottage is centrally located in the town of Appleby-In -Westmorland. It is quiet cosy and quaint. There are local shops cafes , restaurant s pubs, indoor swimming and leisure facilities, children's play areas and local walks. We're in the beautiful Eden Valley neighboured by The Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennine Fells. All easily reached and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Appleby is on or near The Cumbria Cycle Way, Pennine Way and The Coast to Coast walk. Reverse style living with bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor and open plan kitchen living area on the first floor. A well equipped home from home. A66 local road which takes you directly to Penrith , a market town 15 minutes drive, it is the gateway to the central Lake District. From Penrith you can link onto the M6. Or east from Appleby takes you to Scotch corner and directly joins the A1. Alternatively you can travel on the B6260 across Orton Fell and access the South Lakes area or the Yorkshire Dales The Railway station in Appleby takes you to Carlisle, Leeds and the National rail network.
