Sheerwater Holiday Home in Downderry is a detached property with it's own private entrance. Downderry is nestled between the old medieval harbour of Portwrinkle and the fishing village of Looe. The quiet beach is around 400m away, mainly known only to locals. Upon entering the property you have a fully fitted kitchen/diner/lounge and a bathroom with a shower. There are beautiful sea views from the lounge. Downstairs is the bedroom.. .A door takes you to your private balcony overlooking the sea. The property is a short walk from the sea and local amenities. There are stunning sea views from all rooms. There is a fouton in the lounge. A short walk down the hill you have local amenities that include a restaurant/deli, a pub on the beach , Vegan cafe and a grocery shop/post office. There is a shared courtyard, but the property is self-contained and private. The property has its own private entrance. There is a lounge/diner and bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a bedroom with a super kingsize bed with a door to your own private balcony overlooking the sea There is free on street parking outside. The road is a cul de sac so very quiet. Please park directly outside Sheerwater if at all possible. We live next door to the property sharing the same courtyard, so are available most of the time to deal with any issues. We are always happy to chat with guests about local information, where to eat, what to do etc, but we like guests to decide how much interaction they would like with us. We're happy to let guests have their own space but are always happy to help. Situated right at the top of the hill we have the most wonderful views. A short walk down the hill you have local amenities that include a restaurant/deli, a pub on the beach , Vegan cafe and a grocery shop/post office. At the bottom of the road you have a GP surgery. At the bottom of the road you have a bus stop. If you turn right at the bottom of the hill you can either walk along the beach or drive/walk the short distance to Seaton, where you will find a sandy beach with a river running down the valley to the sea. Take the beautiful woodland walk to Hessenford where you can get refreshment at the Copley Arms before you return. Situated on the beach is another popular cafe. There is also a pub and a restaurant/diner. Across the road from Sheerwater you can access the woodland trust nature walk or join up with the South West Coastal Path. If you're interested in city life, Plymouth is a short distance away, by car, bus or train. The nearest railway station is around 5 miles away at St Germans. There is free on street parking outside. The road is a cul de sac so very quiet. Please park directly outside Sheerwater if at all possible.
