Bow Mill Farm, a pretty waterside house, offers discrete bed and breakfast in one of the most beautiful valleys in the South Hams. The Dart is a luxury en-suite queen size bedroom that boasts 400tc Egyptian cotton bed linen, a pure wool hypoallergenic duvet and pillows, a thermostatic shower and soft, fluffy towels. Combined with complimentary organic refreshments, a healthy yet hearty breakfast and fine tableware, we promise guests a quality and tranquil bed and breakfast experience. By offering guests a sunny and hugely comfortable sitting room, the choice of two dining areas, an established countryside garden, 250m of River Harbourne and a plethora of wildlife and picturesque views, Bow Mill Farm provides a little bit of escapism through its warm and relaxing ambiance. Guests are able to access the sitting room, dining area, conservatory, terraces, countryside garden and river walkway. As on-site hosts, we are keen to provide a high level of hospitality to our guests so they benefit from an exceptionally clean and safe boutique style living environment that supports a wonderful stay in the South Hams. We enjoy our garden and being keen walkers and nature lovers, we can provide insight into the surrounding countryside, the locality, provide recommendations of places to visit, where to eat, what to do and generally anything else that helps to make your stay as comfortable and rewarding as possible. We are blessed with having Totnes, a stunning medieval town, full of wonderful eateries, art galleries and boutique shops less than three miles away. Salcombe and Dartmouth, not to be missed locations for sailing enthusiasts and those who love idyllic waterside settings, can be found within a short drive. Similarly, the rugged South Hams coastline offers numerous beaches, National Trust properties and the fabulous South West Coastal Path, all within the rich smuggling heritage. If the coast is not for you, then explore the rugged hills of the Dartmoor National Park, visiting the ponies and cultural moorland villages of Chagford, Widecombe and Ashburton. After a busy day exploring these beautiful areas, why not enjoy delicious food and sip cocktails in one of the local waterside pubs in Bow Creek, just a short stroll from Bow Mill Farm. Alternatively, build up an appetite and enjoy craft ales and fine food in the atmospheric Durant Arms, located in the quintessentially English Ashprington village, less than half a mile away. If guests can tear themselves away from all that we can offer, as soon as they leave our gated entrance, they will find ease of access to fantastic trails and paths along picturesque meadows, fields and ridges. Within walking distance , guests can visit the Sharpham Estate which offers tours around their vineyard, wine tasting and a wonderful farm shop. At the moment we do not have a television in this bedroom or in the guest sitting room but we do have a very friendly 13 year old white Turkish Angora cat named Bella!
