The Albertine is a stone outbuilding that's recently been renovated to a highly finished studio. OPTIONAL EXCLUSIVE HIRE of HOT TUB for an extra £100 for a minimum night stay.. Uniquely positioned on a peaceful, no-through road with beautiful elevated south-westerly views across open countryside to the Mendip Hills & has excellent access to public footpaths. Fully self contained with kitchen, en-suite & shower. Exclusive use & direct access onto garden & dining terrace. _________HOT TUB HIRE INFO_________ Optional hire of the Intex PureSpa (like Lay-Z-Spa) is an additional fee of £100 for the first minimum night and £20 per night thereafter (if you are staying longer). Please inform the host if you wish to hire the spa - a payment request will be sent via Airbnb. THE HOT TUB IS AVAILABLE TO HIRE BETWEEN 10th MARCH - 10th NOVEMBER. (Only exceptions:- It is also available to hire over NYE and over Valentines long weekend.) IT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO HIRE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. The high amount for the first use covers the cost of fully sanitizing the spa and filters, regular monitoring of water chemicals during your stay, along with a regular water change and of course the electricity (which is currently continuing to rise in cost) used to heat the water up and maintain, thereafter you are just paying for the electricity that will be used as the spa heater stays on constantly during your stay (albeit turned down slightly when not in use). Needless to say during colder months the cost is substantially higher to heat the spa hence these months are a higher price. Towel robes are supplied for use with the spa. Due to the up keep involved there will be NO reductions in the cost if you wish to hire the hot tub. *** PLEASE NOTE *** The Albertine precludes the use of speakers, radio and the playing of music outside at all times. Use of the spa is subject to certain Terms & Conditions - details available on request. Please message in advance of your stay if you wish to hire the hot tub as it can take up to 1-2 days to prepare the spa ready for your use on arrival. ____________________________________________________________ Parking space directly outside for 1 vehicle. High quality sofa bed (made up for arrival) with pocket sprung mattress carefully positioned for views on to south facing garden and long westerly views. Discrete cupboard kitchen comes with sink, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave oven and grill. En suite consists of large walk in shower, heated mirror cabinet with LED touch light, basin, WC and heated towel rail. Studio is highly insulated and remains warm in the winter months with the support of three contemporary wall mounted oil electric radiators. Parking for 1 vehicle directly outside the entrance gate. There are taxi number provided in the information pack which we can email once you've booked. There are local buses to villages around Bath and Bristol from Timsbury bus stops are approximately a 15 minute walk from The Albertine. There are multiple footpaths in all directions right outside The Albertine. We live in the main house close by. We are often out and about, we're very friendly but we do respect your privacy. The studio is positioned on a peaceful, no-through road and has beautiful south west facing elevated views across open fields to the Mendip Hills. Public footpaths run directly outside the studio in three different directions. A book of local country walks is provided, all of which take you via The Connies Tea Room which is very popular in the village. Pubs, convenience stores, pharmacy, a play park and bus stop are also in nearby village 15-20 minutes walk away along public footpath. 5 minutes drive away is the boutique country house, The Pig. 10 minutes drive is the idyllic Priston Mill wedding venue. The Albertine studio is positioned 7 miles south west of the World Heritage City of Bath with bus routes a short walk away. Odd Down Park and Ride is an easy 15 minute drive away, with the central Bath car parks just a further 5-10 minutes drive into town. A taxi directly from Bath Spa train station is within 25 minutes from the studio. If you'd prefer to get the bus, the 179 takes 30 minutes from Bath to Timsbury village (closest bus stops:- British Legion or Recreation Ground, a scenic 15 minute walk from the studio). Do check the timetable first, they run every other hour. Bristol lies just 30 minutes drive north east with its airport only 12 miles away. The market towns of Frome and Glastonbury are within a 30 minute drive southward as is the historic Cathedral City of Wells. Breakfast is Continental and provided for guests to serve themselves.
