Cosy Studio in a beautiful Medieval Village

Set in beautifuly mountainous Isère , 30 m2-Studio Apartment full of flair and historical character in the medieval heart of Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye - labeled "Most Beautiful Villages of France". This lovely renovated studio apartment, which is located in a historical boutique of the Higher Town of Saint-Antoine, in the heart of the medieval quarter and just below the newly restored monumental abbey-staircase, has kept all the flair of this old property. Its walls with archways, its wooden floor and its retro deco bring a lot of charm into it. The bed has a 140x90 cms dimension. The studio is equipped with a small kitchen. Attention, the door leading to the bathroom is a little low and the taller guests will have to remind bending down to enter that room ;-) ! We would host with a great pleasure a baby or a child and provide you with a baby bed or a further mattress. However, the studio would lack space for hosting more children. We stay at your disposal to talk with you about the highlights of our village and of our region. You can also have a look on our trekking maps, regional literature, books about the Dauphiné, touristic guidebooks and leaflets... Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye is a medieval village which lies sweetly in the Chambarans-Hills, in the heart of Dauphiné in the Isère département. It has a picturesque balcony-location above the Isère valley and in front of the Vercors range, right at the border to the Drôme. It is most famous for its gothic abbey church, one of the most beautiful ones of south-eastern France. But it owes its reputation also for its exceptionnal non-religious architectural heritage, its small streets and its limestone houses, its idyllic location and the quality of its cultural offer. Our house stands in the Grande Rue, an especially picturesque part of the higher village, in the heart of the medieval quarter. Several quality shops, down of the Abbey's Great Staircase, give a pleasant flair to this street-corner, lively and calm at the same time. You can easily reach by foot a small supermarket, a bakery, shops with local products, cafés and restaurants. By foot, by bike, by horse, by car ! And even by train at Saint-Marcellin train station, 15 minutes away by car. We can book for you the local taxi who takes 20 € for the ride Saint-Marcellin - Saint-Antoine. If needed, you can get a baby bed or an additional mattress. The main highlights around : the land of Grenoble Wallnuts, the Hilly Drôme, the Palace of the Postman Cheval, the Alps of Dauphiné and the Vercors range, Pont-en-Royans, The Choranche Caves, the ski resort of Villard-de-Lans, the Castle of La Sône, the old town of Romans-sur-Isère... As well as many ways to hike around the village and a lovely romanic chapel !
