Small Rural Campsite (Bring Your Tent/Caravan)

Families are especially welcome! The camping ground does not provide much luxury, though we take great care to keep the grounds clean, tidy and ecologically oriented. We can house up to around 20 tents or trailers at a time. Whether you're a budget traveller or simply a large family, you will enjoy camping in our green, lush orchard. The rustic charm of the village combined with our great service and location will be one of the most unique countryside experiences you will have in Slovenia. We can house up to around 20 tents or trailers at a time. There are four showers and washbasins with hot water; an equal number of toilets plus an additional shower. In the summer and autumn, we can also offer fresh vegetables from our organic vegetable garden, and fruits from our orchard. It is always a pleasure for us to meet, talk, share a cup of coffee or a drink with our guests. Since we can speak a few languages fluently, there are usually no language obstacles to have a friendly chat. Though, at the same time, complete privacy is guaranteed. The campsite is located in a small village called Brezje, at the foothills of the Karavanke mountains, bordering Austria. The village is the greatest Slovenian pilgrim centre, with the well-known Basilica of Holy Mary of Good Help, attracting tens of thousands of pilgrims each year. Almost all world celebrities visiting Slovenia stop here for at least a short visit. It is also a great starting point to visit some of the most beautiful sightseeing locations in Slovenia: - only 5 km from a small, pleasant historic town called Radovljica - a short 20-minute drive to the gorgeous Bled Lake Vintgar Gorge, which are probably the most famous tourist attractions in Slovenia - a 30-minute drive to the capital, Ljubljana, etc. Not to mention that you can reach the Adriatic coast (Piran, Koper, Portorož) in under 2 hours! What we offer that others don't? - experience the Slovenian countryside life in a quaint, quiet village - a very convenient location to see the sights of Slovenia from while having a peaceful place to sleep - a very flexible and personal approach, we also speak several languages fluently - easy booking and assistance with navigating the area - a lot of bang for your buck with no hidden fees We speak English, French and Russian. We also understand some Italian. There are many interesting places, historical (medieval) towns and villages, popular tourists attractions, easily accessible by car. The bus station is only a ten-minute walk from our home. PLEASE NOTE: - tents and beds are not included/provided. - a tourist tax of 2 Euros per person per night will be charged on the spot (income of the local community)
