Beautifully furnished with a spacious king bed and cosy wood burner, this fabulous yurt enjoys a secluded location in the corner of a rolling wildflower meadow. There is a well equipped private field kitchen, spacious deck and private modern bathroom. You'll even have access to your own firepit! You can walk directly from the yurt into the beautiful countryside, with direct access up to 50 acres of ancient woodland. Surrounded by wildlife, this is a fabulous location for exploring rural Dorset. Our farm totals 36 acres of pasture, wild meadows and woodland with a small stream running through the centre. We are extremely keen to monitor wildlife and increase biodiversity, so have made huge efforts to allow nature to thrive across the farm. During your stay you will have access to rambling footpaths, wildlife ponds and the beautiful brook. You will also have use of an exclusive parking space, giving you the option to explore all that North Dorset has to offer. This space is perfect for couples to reconnect with one another, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. As a family run business it is important to us that you feel as welcome as possible. Since the Covid-19 outbreak we have been operating a 'no contact' check-in, but we are on site at all times and more than happy to help with anything you need during your stay. Our nearest town is the historic Saxon town of Shaftesbury, which boasts the famous Gold Hill as well as fabulous independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Closer to home is our well-stocked village shop, which is within walking distance of the yurt and offers all the essentials you could possibly need. They also sell freshly baked pastries and run a small cafe. Nearby attractions include the magnificent gardens at Stourhead, the wildlife experiences at Longleat and any petrol-head's dream day out at Haynes Motor Museum. We are surrounded by fantastic pubs, many of which are within walking distance, if you're feeling adventurous! Our village of Motcombe is in Dorset and offers a bus service to the nearby town of Shaftesbury as well as Gillingham, Dorset where there is a train station operating a direct line to London and Exeter.
