Alton Period house - Study room

The study room is downstairs opposite a cloakroom (housing toilet and basin) with a double bed futon. There are two other listing in the house for a small single room under 'Period House in Picturesque area' and "Double Room Alton". All listings can be booked at the same time if a more rooms are required. Jane Austen's house and house museum are 20 minutes walk away in the village of Chawton. The house itself is rustic and sits on a hill with views of the valley. Alton town is a short walking distance. There are several supermarkets nearby. You will find my house rustic with interesting art and craft which is all about my life and travels. You are welcome to use the garden which is pleasant and tranquil to sit in. I have my art studio in my house. The guests are welcome to use the garden and kitchen. There is off road parking on request. I am happy to give information on the local area. If I am available I am happy to collect guests from the train station as it is a steep hill to the house. Alton is a market town with a rail link to London Waterloo direct. There is also a steam railway at Alton Train station running to Alesford everyday. A market runs on a Tuesday. Chawton is 25 minutes walk away where Jane Austen's house and House museum can be visited. There are a museum and Allen Gallery with a unique collection of china and visiting exhibitions. There are several pubs located nearby. The local supermarkets include Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer's. There are many cafe's, coffee and tea rooms in the town. The countryside is 5 minutes walk where there are an extensive footpath network to enjoy the lovely Hampshire countryside. Alton Train Station is 20 to 25 minutes walk to where there is trains running every half hour into London, Waterloo Station. The journey is just over an hour. There are buses in the town running to other main line bus routes in Winchester, Basingstoke, Guildford and also stopping in the surrounding villages. The house is on a hill. If I am available I am willing to collect guests from the train station if requested.
