Woodleigh is a beautiful and historic gem - a comfortable and cosy cottage with its own garden, a log fire and wooden beams. Set in a quiet location within minutes' walk of central Dulverton, a lively spot and the gateway to Exmoor National Park's stunning walks, rides and pubs. You'll be amazed at the range of shops and delicious food and drink available in the town - from Thai at Tong Dam to the UK's award-winning wine pub of the year - Woods. Free parking and a storeroom for bikes etc. In the Summer, sit outside in your own garden space and enjoy a cold glass of local cider. There are plenty of local walks, riding and watersports. Woodleigh is perfect for a romantic trip to the country or a family break with up to two children. In the winter, cosy-up in front of the log-burner. On the ground floor, Woodleigh has a living room, combined kitchen and dining room, plus utility room with sink, washing machine and drier. The dining room has french windows out onto the garden. On the first floor, there is one family bathroom; a double bedroom, a walk-through closet and a second bedroom with the option of one or two single beds. There is a small garden and patio for the exclusive use of Woodleigh visitors. Garden table and furniture is provided. Jane and/or Bill will be there to welcome you to Woodleigh; show you around the cottage and answer any questions you have. We will send you a list of local pubs and restaurants once you book so you can make the most of your stay. Woodleigh is a separate building within our larger garden and you will have keys to come and go as you please and have whatever level of privacy you require. Access via a key lockbox is available when necessary. Dulverton is known as the Gateway to Exmoor National Park. You can get to the Moor in minutes by car or by walking directly from the town. You can reach Dulverton by Train - Paddington to Tiverton Parkway on Great Western Railway (GWR). You will need to order a taxi in advance from Parkway Cars; Frankies Taxis or A2B Taxis. Dulverton is approx 40 min drive from Tiverton Parkway station. It is easier to explore Exmoor by car if possible. Cycling and horse riding are also very popular. You are welcome to park your car in the drive. Dogs are very welcome as there are many beautiful walks for them to enjoy. There is a charge of £10 per dog for up to 3 nights stay and £20 per dog from 4 nights. One basket of logs is provided on arrival. Logs are available from the logstore for £5.00 per additional basket.
