Beautiful farmhouse with lake views in 23 acres

Set at the foot of the Mendips and part of a 4 lake fishery, this 3 bedroom cottage is positioned over looking the main lake to the front and the orchards on the Mendips to the rear. Private gated entrance to the grounds which stand at over 23 acres and include fields, walkways and fishery. Fully furnished to the highest standards and available to guests with impeccable taste. Safe parking, and free fishing on the course lake, with instruction and tackle provided if required. Incredible views greet you from morning to night. Look across the lakes to Brent Knoll or up onto the Mendip Way from the back across the Thatchers cider orchards. Lots of walks on the Mendips to Crook Peak, Bleadon and Brean Down. Travel at night to the busy seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare with its restaurants and nightlife or further into Bristol, all within Uber limits. Owners are often on site but an Office is open on the fishery from Wednesday to Sunday. A unique area once inhabited by the Romans, bringing Iron down the river Axe which lies untouched at the bottom of the grounds. We are a mile from the village of Bleadon and Loxton. There is a limited bus service at both but neither pass the Farm. There is a small post office and shop in Bleadon and two pubs. Once on the main road, you can access Weston Super Mare, Bristol or Taunton in short time. Trips to Cheddar caves and Axbridge are guests favourites, both of which are walkable but to enjoy the surroundings you will be better to go over the hills. Hiking maps are available in the accommodation, please leave for other guests. This is a get away, suited for walkers and cyclists and people to discover the beautiful surrounding areas. Its 2 miles to the nearest pub and set in a quiet and rural area, for a peaceful stay. In the day time its easy to travel around by car or foot but at night its quiet. Deliveroo do not deliver here or Uber Eats.
