Cozy Red Mountain Hunter/Windham/Catskills

We are 5 minutes to Hunter Mountain and 10 minutes to Windham, 5 minutes to Colgate Lake. Near many places to eat and appease many different palettes. This is the perfect home for a family get away with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. We do have neighbors and we kindly ask to keep all noise to a minimum. Due to our elevation on the mountain sound travels. Our neighbors live here year round and we would like to respect their privacy and not intrude with any excessive noise. If you’re looking for the perfect location, right in between Windham and Hunter, you of course want a fabulous view... right? We have just that and more! This home sits back from a VERY quiet country road with MAGNIFICENT views and is only 5 minutes from Hunter and 10 minutes from Windham! Please note we are ONLY looking for reservations with families. This is NOT A PARTY HOUSE!! No music is to be played outdoors. Here is A NOTE FROM OUR TOWN Jewett is a very quiet rural mountain town with specific laws about daytime AND nighttime noise. The town will be enforcing the noise ordinance. Sound is VERY easily amplified and carried on the mountain. Many visitors don’t realize this effect and are not aware that a lively dinner on the deck, outdoor cocktails & music, or an evening soak in a hot tub might be disrupting neighbors and livestock. It is helpful to let guests know that volume levels of music and outdoor conversations/activities should be conducted at a lower level than they typically expect. Our 4 bedroom house contains the following: Four bedrooms each with sliding glass doors, two of which extend out to the top floor balcony. 3 FULL bathrooms two of which adjoin into two of the rooms. Our lower level is solely geared for family fun and entertainment. We have a full game and family room equipped with two pool tables, one of which converts into an air hockey table. We have a sectioned Mortal Kombat arcade game, domino table, 4ft connect 4 as well as a 5 person hot tub. The next half contains a movie sectional area with a 55 inch smartTV and Reclining movie theater seats. We have a Wii with various games to keep the young ones entertained. Also for the adults we have various family / friend bonding games in our section by the pool table area. We also have a full playground as well as a trampoline, and outdoor volley ball net. It's the perfect get away for a family or friends. There is something to do for everyone. New to winter activities? Or Extremely experienced? Windham and Hunter mountains are sure to please. With near by zip lining AMAZING lakes and creeks just 19 minutes away... Avid hiker? There are plenty of trails to accommodate any skill level hiker. We do have all year round neighbors and sound echos from the mountain tops especially on the outdoor deck. If taking private phone calls try to stay towards the square deck as our land layout doesn't echo there. Please keep all music indoors at all times and leave no doors open if there is music playing. Our current clientele we are seeking are mature families with children. Again this is NOT a party house. Any fines incurred by going past the towns decibel readers will be billed directly to the guest. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Our grill is ONLY seasonal. We have neighbors who live in close proximity all year round. Please be mindful, respectful and keep outdoor noise to a minimum after especially when on the deck and hot tub. Due to our high elevation on the mountain sound echos and travels severely. Due to bears ALL trash must be brought to our local dump. It is a few minutes from the house and is a $2 bag fee. Recycling is free! Address provided with house instructions. If trash is left behind you may be subject to an additional charge we occur. THERE IS A NO SMOKING POLICY INDOORS. A $250 fine is issued the guest have not been compliant with the house rules. OUR HOT TUB IS SERVICED AFTER EVERY STAY. IF THE TEMPERATURE HAS NOT YET REACHED 104 DEGREES, PLEASE BE PATIENT AS IT HEATS 3 degrees an hour. Air hockey table is checked after every stay to ensure it's in working order, if by chance the cord comes off accidentally during your stay, you are responsible solely for the repair. We also ask our guest please wash all their towels and robes. We provide laundry detergent, bleach. This helps us with same day turn overs as towels and robes take an immense amount of time. We provide fire wood, fire starters, amenity bags with a wide variety of eco friendly body products and lotions. We are constantly renovating, stay tuned throughout the year to see the up coming changes! Any reservation with 6 people or less will NOT have access to the bunk room.
