We are located in a small hamlet yet close to the local ammenities found in Cockermouth, Carlisle and the Harbour Town of Maryport, ideal for exploring the Solway Firth with views over to Scotland with its beautiful sandy beaches or perfect for visiting the Lakes and Fells. "The Barn" comes fully equiped, perfect for an escape from the hustle bustle of your busy lives. The property comes with a comfortable lounge and a sun-room with french doors leading out on to a courtyard garden with outside seating / dining area with chimenea for those cosy evenings together. Although you will have full privacy with access to the property via key safe, the Host is available onsite or via mobile should you require anything during your stay. Hayton is a quiet country village with a colourful history ideal for cycling and walking the Solway Coastline. We are located in the North West of the Lake District close to the Solway coast within easy access to the popular towns of Allonby and Silloth. Staying at "The Barn" provides a great base away from the hustle and bustle but is readily accessible for the Lakes with Keswick only 30 mins away, with the popular Towns of Ambleside and Windermere less than an one hours drive. "The Barn" is only 200m from Hayton Castle where Mary Queen of Scots stayed. The beautiful St James Church sits only across the green from the property. Hayton has its own village shop for essentials. The nearest pub Miners Arms is only a short walk away. For keen golfers Silloth Championship golf course is only 10 miles away. Public Transport links via train(3miles away Aspatria) and bus(0.8 miles away) offering routes to the city of Carlisle, Workington and beyond. Keswick the gateway to the Lakes is less than 30 mins drive away.
