Set in the beautiful hilly countryside of Central Portugal, Florença is a stylishly renovated farmhouse, which has been converted into 5 fully furnished & equipped apartments with landscaped gardens, shared swimming pool and stunning views. This large and spacious apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a large open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area plus an additional lounge/dining space making it perfect for larger families or groups. In many ways the village of Cumieira represents a trip back in time to a place where life was much simple less pressurized and more peaceful. It's this ambience that we have tried to recreate at Apartamentos e Jardins de Florença. We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay with us to the full and form new friendships with fellow guests. So far we have had a lot of success in achieving this. Please make full use of the upper and lower courtyard gardens, the swimming pool and the communal barbecue. The covered gazebo in the courtyard garden is for the use of apartments 4 and 5, as is the gas barbecue (scheduled for installation in 2019). Florença apartamentos e Jardins promotes a holiday park atmosphere and so many times we have experienced guests 'teaming up' and sharing such things as sightseeing trips, days at the beach and barbecues in the upper garden. Our apartments are ideal in offering quality accommodation for large groups of friends and families who want to holiday together and at the same time maintain their privacy and independence. We are able to accommodate up to 19 quests in total. We are happy to negotiate on rates when 3 or more apartments are booked at the same time for the same period. Our holiday park apartments have a management team that are available on a daily basis for any any help, advice and assistance that you may require. Guests have often remarked about how much they love the community feel of this typical Portuguese village and how remarkably friendly and helpful everybody is. Why not have lunch in the local cafe (only 200 metres from your apartment) for a fixed price of €7 or maybe dinner at a local restaurant in the next village of Cabeça Redondo (less than 10 minutes drive away) for around less than €20 a head for 3 courses including wine, coffee and drinks. Local public transport is at a real premium and unless you really love walking, you'll need a car to fully enjoy your holiday here in Central Portugal. There are however train stations at both Pombal and Coimbra b within a 30 minute drive. Here you can get direct trains to such places as Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Fatima, Aveiro,the Algarve and into Spain and then all over Europe. There are splendid water theme parks at Pombal and Castanheira de Pera ( named Rocas) that are great fun and certainly offer a full day out for all. Why not visit the wonderful river beaches (Praia Fluvials) which are very numerous in this part of Portugal and often have free help your-self barbecues areas, refreshment rooms and safe river swimming areas. The one at Fragas de Saõ Simão is only a 25 minute drive from your apartment. Why not drop off at the spectacular EU funded observation post, high in the mountains to view dramatic scenery for miles around, just up the road from the lagoon.
