River View is a cosy cottage, full of original charm, dating back to the 1600s, but with all modern comforts, woodburner, and views over the Wye Valley. Walks from the doorstep, along the Wye Valley Way or through woodland. Fishing and canoeing within walking distance. Off road parking. *Strict cleaning regime* No cleaning charge* Cosy pubs nearby. Patio garden. Perfect for walking and relaxing. Herefordshire is unspoilt, undiscovered with no crowds! All our guests have loved our cottage, as it's cosy and comfortable and well equipped. The views from the main bedroom and the garden are beautiful, and we frequently have spectacular sunsets. Guests have their own private entrance into a hallway with a bench and coat pegs. The downstairs bathroom leads off the hallway and has a bath with shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating, which is on all year round except heatwaves! Fluffy towels are included. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and has table and chairs, fridgefreezer, microwave, dishwasher, hob and oven, filter coffee maker and cafetiere. We provide everything you need for washing up, and we also provide a few treats to make you feel welcome! The living room has full size double sofa, armchair and rocking chair, woodburner and freeview TV. The cottage is heated by underfloor heating from Autumn to Spring, but the woodburner takes cosiness to the next level. We provide a small basket of wood and kindling, then guests will need to buy their own. The single bedroom is downstairs, off the living room and has a small chest of drawers and hanging pegs. Upstairs (the stairs are steep and narrow) is the main bedroom, which has a double bed with feather duvet (let us know when booking if you'd prefer synthetic), 2 chests of drawers and a wardrobe. It has its own small balcony with bench. An ideal spot for a drink on a warm evening while the sun sets. Outside is a south facing private patio garden with picnic bench and 2 deck chairs. We don't provide a barbecue, but you're very welcome to bring your own. The chickens are regular visitors to the garden, and are very friendly! We live next door and are available if you need anything, but you also have complete privacy if that's what you prefer. Covid 19: We take cleaning very seriously! The cottage is thoroughly deep cleaned between guests. We use disinfectant and antibacterial cleaners on all surfaces and frequently used objects. The interior of the cottage and all soft furnishings are sprayed with disinfectant. Bed linen and towels are washed at a high temperature. All crockery and cutlery are washed in the dishwasher between bookings. The cottage is self-contained. We live next door, and are on hand for any queries, but we will also leave you alone to enjoy your time here. Fiddlers Green is a small hamlet between the villages of Fownhope and Mordiford, both of which are within 30 mins walk through woodland or over fields. There are pubs in both villages and a great little shop and a butcher's in Fownhope. We overlook the end of Lucksall campsite which also has a shop and bar/restaurant in season. This is a 5 minute walk. Buses to Hereford run about every hour and the bus stop is a few hundred yards away. There is parking for 2 guest cars. Entrance at the rear, downstairs bathroom, kitchen/diner, small single bedroom downstairs, stairs off living room to double bedroom with balcony.
