Maison Marguerite, Chives.

Maison Maguerite is nestled in a hamlet in the Poitou Charentes region of south west France. During the summer months the village is surrounded by sunflower fields. A haven away from the bustle of busy life. Hi ,I,m Tina your host .i have lived in chives for fourteen years.I have been hosting for 4 years and have enjoyed meeting lots off interesting people and have made many friend s. Two off my greatest passions in life are gardening and cooking and use all the fresh vegetables and fruit from my garden in meals which I can provide at a supplement. I have two old dogs and a cat ,and I am dog friendly so guests can bring there dogs along as I know how worrying it is too have to leave dogs in kennels ,and my dogs love making new friends too Guests have their own room with bathroom. There are three large living spaces and an active kitchen with something always on the stove. Guests are welcome to use the garden and the above ground swimming pool. A few kilometres away there is a plan d'eau, a swimming lake with beach which is lovely to while away a sunny afternoon.There is also a restaurant there which is very reasonable and very good .25 mins away is aulnay de saintonge where there is a very lively market on a Sunday morning,three bars in the center where food is available,and another bar and restaurant on the outskirts offf the town with a lovely garden I love meeting new guests but appreciate if they want there own space ,but always around if anything needed
