Our place is located just 7 miles from both Taos town and Taos Ski Valley! One mile near the village of Arroyo Seco, the mountains are close enough to hike and climb! Great views, restaurants and dining, bicycling, hiking , walking or touring, you are in the middle of it all . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). The CASA CARMEN is a Bavarian Chalet style hand crafted two story house featuring two elevated decks! BAVARIAN CRAFTED Black Forest Style 1450 square feet private House for you to enjoy. Hand hewn logs combined with smooth adobe walls and smooth plaster feel like home and luxurious art at the same time. Built with Hickory wood floors, Honduran mahogany cabinets, duvet covers, beautiful artwork are just a few of the appointments for this Home. Walkways and private gardens are at your disposal with private decks and porches, brazier for bonfires , hot tub and seating areas with views. The area of Des Montes and Arroyo Seco is the most green area in Taos County. With an "Acequia System" from ancient times, water is brought down through ditches and channels to water the fields, trees, farms, and homes. The Casa Carmen has two of these Acequias running through it and you can see and hear the water here! It is a wonderful thing to enjoy! Buses pick up in Arroyo Seco on the hour for delivery to Taos Ski Valley or for delivery to Taos Town. Arroyo Seco is one mile away with adequate free parking for your vehicle.
