We are known for our home cooked food and warm hospitality in our rural Pub close to Southwell and Sherwood Forest & Pines. We have 2 ensuite rooms available in our B&B, ideal for an overnight stay or longer whether you are visiting the area, attending an event, catching up with family and business travellers. Each room has tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and flat screen TV. Breakfast is included. Close to Southwell trail, Sherwood Forest & Pines, Norwood Hall Wedding venue The B&B rooms are in an adjacent building to the pub, all ensuite rooms with showers, tea & coffee facilities and breakfast is included. Heating is currently by oil filled radiators and through out air conditioning unit. There is a plan to upgrade this 18th century building soon to central heating. It’s still cosy! Plenty of free parking at the rear of the pub which is covered by CCTV. Small village in rural Nottinghamshire, situated between Farnsfield and Southwell. Local attractions nearby. Historic Southwell and its beautiful Minster. - 5 Mins Drive Southwell Racecourse - 10 Mins Drive Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines - Cycling & Walking together with Go Ape. Open air concerts through out the year. - 20 Mins Drive. Southwell Trail - 5 minutes cycle or 10 minute walk to head to Bilsthorpe and to Sherwood Pines or head towards to Southwell. Rufford Abbey & Gardens - 15 Mins Drive Clumber Park or Thoresby Estate 20 Mins Drive Notts Maize - 20 Mins Drive White Post Farm - Family Farm Fun - 5 Mins Drive Close to local wedding venues, Norwood Park, The Vicarage, Inkersall Grange Farm, Southwell Rugby Club Lots of local walks from the pub including 5 minutes from the Southwell Trail - Just ask us as we have taken our Cocker Poo on most of them. Good access to Nottingham, Mansfield & Newark and convienient for A1, A46/M1 We are close to the Southwell Trail and other country routes which is perfect for walkers and mountain bikers and you can work your way to either Southwell or all the way to Sherwood Pines. There is a bus service that connects Mansfield & Newark which runs infrequently during the week. If you are intending to eat with us, it’s best to book a table especially at the weekends. We will also ask you to order your breakfast as we come in to specifically cook for you. One dog per room is allowed please bring a dog bed with you.
